With the retirement of Floyd Mayweather It should be the Pacman will take place the No 1 spot coz on my point of view with regards to Pound for Pound simply from his original weight going up in weight... as the Pacman capture the 112lbs then he moves up to 122lbs.. then he make another step in the 126lbs... ooppppsss he might just capture the 126lbs from JMM but unlucky he was cheated... the he got the Ring Magazine 126lbs but not recognized a a champs belt... then he dethrowned JMM in the 130lbs.... and the upcoming fight he have at 135lbs. win or loose he has the benefit to be at top. Joe Calzaghe is just a two weight Div Champ but in my point of view longitivity is not the basis.... in his 2nd weight class he won unconvincingly.... he is nothing at all if the executioner is the same at his age.... so why he is being lined up for this list.... if he is really great during his prime he is prime, he must the heavy weight champ as of now. but??????? longivity????????? a nonsence basis...

pacman is the new #1.. Calzaghe hasn't really fought any PRIME fighters or ELITE fighters.. not saying he's a bad fighter, but he hasn't done enough to get the # 1 nod

        Manny past his peak??

I may be alone in my opinion, but i believe that Manny P is already on the downlide. 've noticed several things in his past couple of fights which lead me to believe this.

Joe C had hand picked foes of course he would look impressive

          there is no ****ing question.

I am just being honest...joe c would fight the kinda fight pacman likes sloppy with your face open the british style and people under rate pacmans skills! you tryt o swarm him he will take a quick step back and counter you.

Calzaghe will volume punch you to get a stoppage with gnat punches.

and you will probably discredit Pavlik when he knocks joe C silly...typical are you british by the way?

Joe C is not exciting! The most exciting fighters are on top rank, pavlik, pacquiao, cotto, and margarito...arce used to be exciting but he fell off bad.
You forget something. In my opinion Calzaghe would win. Even assuming, as you do that Calzaghe would fight a "sloppy" fight, you must realise that this "sloppiness id a part of his changing to adapt and baffle an opponent.

You fail to recall that Manny had a VERY BAD tendency to miss with wild shots, overbalance, turn his back and run away to get out of range, leaving himself WIDE OPEN. Calzaghe is just the man to zoom in on that one flaw alone. I believe that it wouldn't be too difficult.
