    poor Luis. he is a good fighter and a great guy. Montiel/Mijares, I will be waiting for it.

        It was televised in Mexico only I think. Montiel has something to brag about over Mijares now.

          Oh, and Linares was supposed to fight today (but he got injured in training a little bit) and his fight wasn't gonna be televised either... wtf?

              Maldonado seemed like a pretty tough guy, so a KO by Montiel is pretty impressive. With that said though Mijares is a way better fighter now than when he got a draw with Maldonado. I still think Mijares would beat Montiel if they were to fight. At this point I think it's a fight that has to be made.

                    I hear it was fairly fair. And the way he did it is because he is a very good fighter. I feel kind of sorry for Luis Maldonado. He is like, just a smidgen below the best at the weight, just not QUITE good enough. He could win a title, but not against Donaire or the elite.

                    Great win for Montiel, lets see Montiel/Mijares
