you can nit pick between who cotto beat at welter and who floyd beat AT WELTER.........lol.................margs has fought the tougher comp at welter.....and he just started to fight the big names...........floyd has fought the best overall comp career wise........and cotto has fought decent comp.......neither cotto or margs has fought any ranked pfp fighters in their careers.........we don't know how proven they are until they face each other........floyd is called the best pfp fighter for a reason........

Ignorance In defeat equals unsportsmanship, following your opponent to a foreign country embarassing him infront of his hometown, is quite dumb.

ignorance in defeat? so you're saying that because he thought he won the fight? he was being ignorant? do you know what he had to give up just to make the fight happen? do you realize he fought the biggest challenge available and STILL wants to again and yet your favorite fighter will only fight who ever brings in the most money regardless of the skillset? and here you are, typing away with a smile on your face soley on the fact that your favorite fighter is making as much money as possible, not that he is fighting the best possible, but is making as much money as possible.

a fighter's accomplishments and continued progression to be the best by taking on challenges that determine status is something not only celebrated and possessed by that fighter but by his fans as well.

as a fan, we get to take keep the memory and pride of knowing that the athlete we follow has done everything they can to prove they are the best. these are things we get to share and enjoy. thats what makes us fans, but the same cannot be said for money.

where as someone like me can say, "Did you see how much trouble Marquez gave Pacquiao? A lot of people think he won the fight", you currently only have the ability to say, "Did you see how much money Floyd is getting for WWE?"

that's not gonna work kid.. Cotto has fought better welters then Floyd and you know it. And yes, Gomez was a ****** fight.. but it was one fight.. Floyds had a number of fights with sorry opposition and if you like I could brake it down for you?
Hatton is a bum and last saturday proved it.. and Baldo was a champion but a weak champion in a weak division... what has he done since then? what did he do before that?

The facts are there Cotto is a better welterweight and no way in hell Mayweather is knocking his ass out.. Mayweather has a better chance of him being knocked out then Cotto does.

i know what i'm talking about.........cotto and margs are beneath floyd...........everyone talks more about who floyd isn't fighting or who has he beaten at welter when cotto has done nothing but beaten quintana who didn't even deserve a title shot....36 year old shane mosley........zab........junior welter urkal.....and who else is worth mentioning......cotto wouldn't even be champ if baldy wasn't stripped........quintana was called a bum by you guys until he beat williams..........now you want to use him as a guy cotto has beaten because it sounds good when arguing cotto-margs.......but quintana didn't beat margs.......williams did.........cotto has done nothing at welter.....neither has floyd...........margs has fought better comp than both at welter........we can go round and roun about who fought better comp AT welter........but i look at how guys fought when the pressure was on..........so far floyd has that experience over both fighters combined........cotto-margs is a good fight..........it won't decide who the best welter is.....but it is a step toward finding out who is........i haven't met a objective cotto fan since i hit these boards.........
