The funny thing is you guys feel intimidated by UFC...and gettin mad at us...but the thing is everyone in this thread who enjoys ufc also enjoys boxing and wouldnt give boxing up for the world...Because we happen to be fans of both...is that wrong?

Exactly, no one is dissing boxing, however, you got these ignorant fools with no knowledge of the grappling arts, jealous of MMA's success. 90% of these guys talking **** about, "boxing is better than MMA", have never even stepped into a boxing ring.

yup and its those fools who shouldnt talk...what have they done to help promote boxing to others? they probably dont even go to local shows or attend golden gloves events or donate to boxing events at all for the AMs....

This is why Boxing is dying people just watching but not even doing **** or trying to do a **** to make a difference...funny thing is people hating on me before for posting ufc **** showing them the reality of what is happening and they just ignore it...thats the number 1 reason why UFC took over because for so long Boxing people never thought of the future that some other thing can take over soon and put together the fight speople wanna see.

I am a huge boxing fan and I attend local shows and even donate money when I can.

Its just a shame these people who complain and hate on MMA are the same cats who dont donate to boxing at all...the best they can do is say Boycott mayweather vs oscar 2 lol

No one is getting intimidated.. why would we be? regardless of who watches what we will continue to watch great fights. Whether the rest of the U.S. watches boxing I couldn't care less.. I'm watching great fights and that's all I care about.
There's a place for UFC though and it's called Sherdog or the MMA lounge in the forum.. Why would you come and talk to people who don't care about UFC about it? That's all I'm saying.. It don't belong in NSB!
Anyway, I've watched UFC a couple cards at my friends house.. I'm in no way jealous of a fight that lasts 40 seconds and has no sustained action.

Actual Sherk has amazing boxing its just his hands are so damn short but his boxing is crisp but super short arms...hughes boxing sucks though lol

Boxing is more than just rote technique. As seen in this fight, Sherk's sense of timing is not particularly good, and he can't handle punches coming with a degree of speed (jabs, counters). But you're correct that his reach is the main source of his problems.

Boxing is UFC's daddy.. and the UFC has tried to turn around and bite the hand that made it.
A lot of of things have been copied from boxing to be used in MMA including the 3 judge 10-9 scoring system.
UFC is the London Prize Ring rules with wrestling in it.. but It's not MMA.
UFC is designed to benefit certain fighters over others..
The only way you will truely have MMA and determining who is the best fighter is when you throw all rules away and let people fight until one knocks the other out.

Anyway, we didn't start this beef.. the wrestling now turned UFC fans who think because a fighter can learn a little bit of everything but have nothing down to perfection can whoop a fighter who has their stand up game down to perfection like a boxer.

Those rules and scoring were imposed by state athletic commissions, and are hardly universal (Japanese MMA rules and scoring differ). Some of them are even detrimental and unnecessary (namely knees to the head on the ground being disallowed). If your big concern is rules, watch some Wand or Shogun fights from Pride. If the rules changed, fighters would adapt to fight under them - it's not a particularly major concern. Even Pankration 2500 years ago banned eye gouges.

True like you said he has the fundamentals and textbook skills down but he doesnt improvise or deal or adapt to jabs and counters like bj penn can.
