The worst example of it that I've seen is this Sakuraba fight. It is is amazing that Sakuraba came back and beat the guy but only with a LITTLE help from the referee... Sickening.

I seriously think the Japanese people want to see him die in the ring, he should have retired after losing to Schembri and Silva back to back. He's going to end up like Bobby Chacon, I guess he's fighting Manhoef next wtf? did you watch that last inside MMA? The funny thing is you guys feel intimidated by UFC...and gettin mad at us...but the thing is everyone in this thread who enjoys ufc also enjoys boxing and wouldnt give boxing up for the world...Because we happen to be fans of both...is that wrong?

I havent seen the fight so I cant comment on their standup. I do know that Penn is one of the best fighters in MMA though so it doesnt surprise me that he looked good on his feet.

I have a Sherdog account since 2002, I have been a pretty hardcore fan of MMA since around 1996. Just because I don't agree with you about all that 16-35 white demographic you love to brag MMA attracts, I'm not bashing MMA. I'm not a fan of the way the UFC is run and the way they treat their fighters, you might not understand that but I'm a fan of fighters and fights not promoters and brands.

The Machida fight was not great, it was very dull the first two rounds, nothing happend till the 3rd round.

They must be doing something right! You will never ever see a hot young actress follow say a boxing match either then oscar delahoyas fights...the only time celebs go to boxing matches is when they get free invites or are being paid to go.

That's the first sign of the UFC being a trendy sport, do you think Mandy Moore is a fan of the UFC. They are just there because it's the trendy thing to do, they don't give a **** about mma they're just there to be seen.

And yesterdays matches were ok nothing spectacular, we saw BJ Penn trying to be a boxer and looking somewhat good, he was afterall fighting Sean Shreck. The silva ko was just a sloppy haymaker fest. The Ortiz fight was just plain boring and the other fights were ok exept for that Sokoju fight that right hook was wicked. But on any given day I much rather watch boxing.
