No I knew and I think most knew as well, I mean if you watched any Hatton fights, and the 24/7 series you can see Ricky leap in with a hook and every time he did his right hand would drop, knowing what Floyd has in the skills department you knew Floyd would see that and stop him with a hook.

When your so close to the action, the fighters and those involved, it's understandable to have feelings or views much stronger, than some forum posters whom weren't.

He had a point, the constant stopping was excessive, and whilst Ricky shouldn't have let it get to him, Cortez stopped Hops vastly less, and was much less harsh. So it underlines it really, it's just a matter of how bad Cortez was, not if.

Whether Ray Hatton or Carol Hatton is the ref makes no difference.Ricky is not in Floyd's class.All Ricky can do is bring his ass and 55000 drunks to the table nothingmore

I see both sides of this argument.

Hatton's side: Cortez absolutely was biased and ref'd the fight in a very bizarre way which favored Floyd immensely and made it next to impossible for the smaller Hatton to land.

Floyd's side: Yeah, the ref didn't allow infighting, and so Floyd held when he got inside and waited for the ref to break everytime, and eventually caught Hatton leaping in, so what was Floyd supposed to do? Fight on the inside when he had a 8" reach advantage? He capitalized on every advantage he had, and held when he didn't. Many fights have been decided in the same way. I seriously doubt Hatton would've won with a different ref. As we've seen numerous times, Hatton is not made for welter. He's a 140lb fighter.

You were going down the middle untill you said Hatton is a 140 fighter , they weighed the same on fight night are you guys brick headed , Floyd is a jnr welter also , he fights at welter weighing at the weight jnr welters fight at , Hatton 151 with Castillo , Floyd 149 with Oscar ,, Hatton 152 with Floyd , Floyd 151 with Hatton ,,,, **** of with the 140 weight bull**** its totally irrelevant concerning this fight and Ive proved it a 100 times on this board .

I agree, So if Floyd elects to fight the man again dont justify a fight, this is not reason to warrant a rematch though I think Ricky has cause to file a complant with the commission and it should be accepted but no way should this call for another fight.
which is all I have been trying to say the whole ****ing time but some of the nuthuggers here just dont want to hear **** that makes sense. Floyd was going to win anyways, but Ricky didnt exactly get a fair shake either that is my point.
