this has nothing to do with the out come lets be honest this has everything to do with Joe Cortez not being fair or firm period.
I stopped reading after the "Ricky was ****ed in the fight"....

He was ****ed the moment he signed the contract. It was no big secret that Mayweather was going to lay his ass out.

Why would Mayweather fight Hatton, but not Cotto or Margarito? Mayweather knew Hatton didn't have chance.

Wrong again! Hatton wouldnt have this arguement that simple, and with out it he gets no support from the fans who agree, that doesnt mean he would have won that is where you are getting your panties in a bunch, you seem to think just becuase I agree that the ref didnt do his job in a professional manner somehow that means I think Ricky would have won that is not what I am saying, so get it right when you read what the **** I am posting.
Ricky would have lost either way, Floyd should not have received help from the ref during the fight, I think Cortez is a big part in why Ricky pretty much gave up after Round 6 that is what happend Ricky was mentally out of the fight.
Now like I said that doesnt mean he would have won this simply means Ricky feels he got jobbed in the states and knowing what I know about Cortez and the way he did business that night Ricky does have a point Joe was just all over Ricky for doing nothing.
now if Joe did his job right the first time Ricky wouldnt have this arguement.
BTW Ricky did not win a title at welter it was given to him he lost to Collazo IMO. who wants to see a rematch of that? did you hear me say that? **** no I aint said that, but I bet Floyd would take a rematch now whats that say about Floyd if he does give a rematch???

So, Ricky Hatton gave up because of the ref? Why didn't Billy Graham use that excuse? That's a pretty good one.

Someone said that 147 was a new division, when it clearly was not for Hatton.

Not hard to answer. PBF wanted the money. Is that clear enough?
A fight with Cotto, or Margarito would not generate the type of pay day that Mayweather wanted.
After the fight in July, he has no where to run.
And you know what? I'll put all my points that PBF beats either of them.

Graham wouldnt admit as much because of his relationship with Ricky I think anybody would understand that especially if your a true fan of the sport. Hatton gave up you could clearly see it in him in Round 6 he just got out of his game it was almost as if you could visably see Ricky get frustrated with the way the fight was going and the way the ref, it wasnt just Cortez it was both Cortez and Floyd.
To me that is what Happend he lost his grip mentally in the fight, anybody could see Floyd was going to knock Ricky out with a left hook, I mean damn during the 24/7 series and in the 1st round ricky would lead with a leaping left hook and his right hand would be down, it was a matter of time before Floyd dropped him with it.

So Hatton walked into this fight, KNOWING he was going to get hit with a left hook? Is that what you are saying? Gave up in the sixth round, huh? Cortez isn't the reason. Maybe it could be Mayweather was the better FIGHTER that night.
No S/D. No judges score cards.
Hatton got BEAT. Plain and simple. For you to argue any further is just ****ing brick headed.

I see both sides of this argument.

Hatton's side: Cortez absolutely was biased and ref'd the fight in a very bizarre way which favored Floyd immensely and made it next to impossible for the smaller Hatton to land.

Floyd's side: Yeah, the ref didn't allow infighting, and so Floyd held when he got inside and waited for the ref to break everytime, and eventually caught Hatton leaping in, so what was Floyd supposed to do? Fight on the inside when he had a 8" reach advantage? He capitalized on every advantage he had, and held when he didn't. Many fights have been decided in the same way. I seriously doubt Hatton would've won with a different ref. As we've seen numerous times, Hatton is not made for welter. He's a 140lb fighter.
