Okay if you are going to go by viewing figures you have to look at views around the world and you also can't continue to conveniently ignore the Hatton v Mayweather fight or any of Lennox Lewis' fights with Americans during the 90s and early 00s.

lennox had one big fight numbers wise against tyson. Hatton vs floyd was one fight there is no rivalry there. mexico and puerto rico have built boxing. It's no secret. There have been generations of great fighters from these countries fighting each other and their will always be newer generations continuing the trend. You're comparing rivalries when the two people u use calzaghe and hatton bearly received their first ppv event. I dont even think calzaghe has had a ppv event. Maybe there for you u guys but that is not us vs uk.

By investment I simply meant an effort to know about them or a base rooting interest. Their is simply a large populace of people to care about the fight as opposed to Mexico vs PR... so please don't try to not accuse me of being racist.

You're missing the point again. I'm not bringing money into this at all, you did. So drop it.

Compare populations: 362,000,000 in US and UK vs 113,000,000 Mexio and PR.

There is a much, much larger base of people who if goaded into it will buy the PPV. I have not and will not say that the rivalry of UK and US is more heated or passionate than Mexico and PR.... but it's simply #'s.

your also full of **** because mexico has a great tradition in boxing. much more than the uk has. There is alot of interest in mexico and their fighters. have you heard of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr? A guy that hasnt done much but has a great following and sells out every event in mexico? You're not proving much. Because uk has more money that means people follow more? People love to see mexicans fight i dont know if you can say the same about uk fighters.
