If Margarito is a "BUM"...

Not to go off topic but I just don't understand why the phrase "bum" gets thrown around so loosely. Margarito may not have the most stunning resume in all of boxing but he's fought fairly sturdy competition for quite a while now with the results mostly in his favor. How anyone could call him a bum is beyond me.Comment

Operantly you have never heard of Carlos Baldomir..-Why is he participating in the most anticipated fight of the year?
- Why is Cotto getting his highest payday to fight him?
- Since when do "BUMS" headline in Vegas?
- Since when do 'BUMS" headline PPV's?
- Since when do bums get paid 3 million dollars to fight?
- Why has he been ranked in the top ten WW longer then anyother current WW?
...... these are the current "WHY's"....
we all know what the others were....8 million $$, WBO WW, hadnt lost at WW in 10 years..etc, etc..Comment

Why would you call Baldomir a bum? I guess I'm a lot more forgiving of fighters than some folks....I generally consider a dude who has won way more fights than he's lost to atleast be reasonably good. I'd say someone more like kid thunder thunder fits the definition of a bum rather than a fighter who toward the end of their career was in contention for a title of significance and even held it if only for a short while.Comment
