Yeah he Floated at the end of that fight.. but He felt he had big enough lead by then.. so why take chances??

Everyone should be allowed to float if they up on the cards and the guy in front of him carries his power late into a fight and is always dangerous..

It's not what you expect from Cotto.. but that is what is causing all this "Boxing" talk.. he fought effectively on the back foot.. not something you see from him.. how much of it was Mosely being too tired to take advantage is debatable.. But there is the root of your question..

My point really is that Cotto's heart and courage might get called into question again when he faces Margarito. There are many myths in Boxing as I once pointed out. In true science and demographics, statistics and information are gathered from hundreds, thousands, and even millions of test cases for accurate data. In this sport we only have 30, 40, or 50 test cases involving unique scenarios, and unique blends of combination.. We have basically nothing is what I'm saying - so I don't blame any of us, myself included, for misconcenptions. Alot of things influence our perception.

To me it's plain as day that Cotto clams up as soon as he's hit with the slightest amount of force cleanly, I can see it, I can recognize it. He Hates to be pressured - effectively, he can't stand having done to him what he does so well to others, generic as that is.

When Mosley jumped on Cotto in the 9th round he only did what people like myself had been begging someone, anyone to do for months and years. The results were predicatable. There was nothing wrong with Cotto. Just his intangibles at work.

Does anyone have any idea what that would involve? What that would take?

For anyone who knows the slightest bit about actual combat, to say that is a somewhat tall order would be an understatement of epic proportions. Not only does Margarito have very good Boxing abilities himself, he's a hydra, an octopus of long arms coming from every angle known to man in constant non-stop succession. Margarito is an extremely accurate improvisational puncher who can throw from any distance or quarters. His punches follow you around the ring like a fly on ****.

The greatest pure Boxer to ever live, Willie Pep, had a virtually unsolvable puzzle as his nemesis with the hard throwing, volume punching, long limbed Sandy Saddler. Sound familiar? These guys are not easy.

....Yeah, and when Cotto dispatches of Margarito I expect you to proclaim him the man. You thought he would lose to Zab and Mosley and you were dead wrong. If marg is so great then the Cotto **** talking should surely stop if he wins this one eh.

Journeymen and propsect matches make you a great Boxer? That **** goes on the resume, huh? Oh, that's right, it's Cotto. Sosa, Abdulaev and people like that are now living legends because they shared the ring with him.

HaHa.. Yeah, you're right I was completely wrong about Cotto throwing low blows as soon as he got hurt, and Shane Mosley fighting like he was on Tylenol. How ****** of me.. This punk talk is for sophmores, but your Boxing knowledge only amounts to a second grade education so it fits.

Who said Margarito is so great? Are you kidding me, dude? You're out of your league loudmouth. I'm not at all surprised.

It never ends bro... It never ends.

You're telling me that Cotto isn't a god boxer?

Sometimes people gotta change and adapt to other, and Cotto has proven to everyone that he can box as well, than being the body destroyer.

Cotto is in for the fight of his life, as well as Tony. You can't leave none of these fighters out. Cotto can land a body shot that can end the night and Tony can land a shot as well. Its a toss up IMO. 50/50.

I just think Cotto's shorter punches will hit the target faster.

Is it possible that you can answer the thread question? I'm flattered that this always turn's into a tribute to Addison, but Boxing discussion is the point of this.
