Well outside of OUMA, every single fighter TAYLOR has fought has been significantly BETTER then KESSLER. Especially Hopkins and Wright, and yes, even Spink is better then Kessler although an extremely soft hitter and pretty boring

no Joe is 3rd p4p because he is coming off what? 44 consecutive wins? and Taylor is coming off what? 2 consecutive losses? And its only been a year since Taylor got knocked off the p4p charts



I think rumors are BRIAN VERA, which is a good bounceback fight i guess. Id have rather seen him fight Mayorga or Trinidad though

Calzaghe USED to be a brilliant boxer-puncher, Taylor is more atheltic fighter and proberbly the more gifted BUT he doesn't use his brain and CANNOT adapt. His stamina from his last 2 fights seems suspect as well whereas Calzaghe's doesn't fail. I have no doubt had this been a Calzaghe from 5-6 years ago, he would've stopped Taylor pretty easily. Now Calzaghe cannot put power in his punches for fear that he'll break his hand and if that happens again this caliber of fighter he cannot win. I would still pick Calzaghe to beat Taylor by a clear UD now.

And anyone who has ever read my posts will find out i am a tremendous Taylor fan, he beat pavlik in the 2nd fight on my card but it wasn't a robbery. I truely believe Calzaghe's desire, chin, heart and stamina will give him the advantage over Taylors natural athleticism and youth to pull out a clear UD.

Wright is better than Kessler but I'd pick Kessler to beat him now cause Wright is getting on a bit, I think the point he's making is even though Wright at the time was better than Kessler, Taylor didn't beat him or even give a convincing showing. Kessler got dominated.

This thread makes me chuckle. Joe is beatable, Taylor is beatable, Pavlik is beatable and so is Kessler.

All of them show weaknesses to me. Joe vs Jermain seems like a good competitive fight to me. Kessler is a good fighter, but he is not some gargantuan uncrushable object. Joe is also not the unbeatable immortal that many in here think he is.

Why is it as soon as someone compares a potential matchup for Joe, his fans start sputtering out the name Kessler like it is some unachievable benchmark for anyone else? Joe does the same thing though so I guess it's contagious.
