I do agree that Taylor is the better and more talented fighter. But I dont think he throws near enough punches which is why Joe wins decision.

boxing isnt about throwing punches its about landing punches. people shouldnt be rewarded for just throwing a thousand air punches(calzaghe)

you dont have to tell me that trust me. I agree fully. So many fighters get screwed over cuz of that.. recently Ishe Smith did.. Bernard did in his 1st fight against Jermain.. Im just going by what most judges are like these days.. its like "boxing" which is making your opponont miss and landing clean shots. has flown right out the window, and the brawler who rarely lands anytihng clean gets the nod.. its a disgrace.. but sadly its how it is now..

Pavlik is a clone of Kessler IMO. Jab and right are the biggest and only real weapons (when their man isn't stunned already).
They may have a similar skill set but they have different fighting styles. Pavlik pressures fighters and doesn't take a step back and I think he's more dangerous. Not to mention I think he has better power based on his previous KO's where he battered top level competition, not just tomato cans. Calzaghe's not going to be able to back him up against the ropes like he did with Kessler.

Taylor is a better athlete by not the better fighter.

I would pick Calzaghe over him because Calzaghe too busy for Taylor. His stamina problems doesn't seem to have been solved by moving up, Calzaghe would outwork him to a decision.

joe has no power though so i don't really understand how in your mind he's knocking everyone out left and right. if you say he wins by decision people would take your more seriously but knockout no.when was his last knockout that was unassisted by a ref? never?
I don't understand this notion that Calzaghe lacks power. It's one of those memes, someone said it once and now it's taken as truth. Joe has enough power but brittle hands. He'll throw a lot of slappy shots but there are three or four really meaningful ones in each flurry. And any time he gets hurt all notions of him protecting his hands go out of the window.

Taylor couldn't carry Calzaghe's jockstrap... There was a reason Taylor blatantly ducked Joe last year, he knows he would've got beaten badly!

                    Erm......Kessler, anyone?!?

Taylor is a good fighter, brought up like a good little HBO star....overhyped as usual......but I think its laughable to compare him to Calzaghe and what he has achieved.

Well you're the one that still thinks Calzaghe is KOing anyone in the 7th at this point with his recent cuffed punching style. Give me a break.
