I think close to everyone is fooled thinking Floyd is HIGHLY susceptible to the jab. He might not be perfect against it but he will show on the 20th it isn't his "weakness". Kind of like the thought he wouldn't KO Hatton.

Every fighter has their flaws.. even the greatest. I guess you guys want to hear that Floyd walks on water from everybody..
Fact is, he has only fought two top 10 ranked opponents since he has been in the division.
If your not fighting the best then it's easy to not expose your flaws.
And don't give me that Oscar or Hatton bull**** because everyone knows for one that Oscar is old and now you see that because he couldn't even put a bum like Forbes away.
And Hatton is one dimensional. Stepping in with his arms down expecting not to get hit in the face..

Hell yes he is complete fighter, he has all the physical and mental attributes. He may not have beaten all the top fighters, but he has the ability to take them out. Problem is they have the ability to.

My take on those rounds (the few that Mayweather actually lost) is that by countering a jab, you can leave yourself open to Oscar's hooking off the jab. If it was me throwing the exact same jabs, I would have got murdered with right hands, because no one would worry bout my left hook. Oscar was never following up behind that jab for pretty much the same reason (worried of getting countered). A better example of trouble given by a jab would be the Castillo fight, but again that is the trouble that comes with fighting a skilled, disciplined, experienced fighter with good timing (but Castillo right was causing the exact same problems as the jab, so I would not say it's the jab).

To watch more recent good offense from Mayweather just watch the Judah or Hatton fight. In particular against Judah, where being the aggressor was clearly his best option, as potshotting was hard, due to Judah's speed.

The Hatton fight?? C'mon now.. everybody knew what was gonna happen in that fight.. And Floyd was just sitting back letting Hatton walk into his punches.. he wasn't inforcing the action. The only time he inforced the action was in a couple occasions and when Hatton was gonna go down.

You can disect any fighters' opponents to discredit them one way or another but that wasn't what I was focusing on. I didn't say Floyd had no weakness I SAID he isn't as weak to a jab as some people let on which will be proven as a fact when Oscar spends 12 rounds pumping a jab that won't be too effective.

But, if he hasn't needed to do that yet, then you really don't know if he's able to beat a guy on his level, but as quick as him, or quick enough to stop those hooks. I'm not saying he doesn't have a jab, he jabs to the body a lot. But this isn't about how great he is. He's great, I won't argue that. It's about how complete he is, and like ALL fighters, he isn't complete. No fighter is.

Re-read my post I said he used it and I gave you 2 examples of when he did use it. PBF is not as purely talented as someone like RJJ with ******ed speed and reflexes. You could see that Judah was faster (at least initially) than PBF. He also used it in the Corley fight. He also used it in the Hernadez fight.

He is a complete fighter but he has yet to show heart, chin etc because his skills are and defense are so great that he never has to rely on those things.
