for those of you saying oscar couldnt beat mosely, ike, or pernell
how does that prove floyd would beat a prime oscar at 147?

since floyd has fought at 147 and above he has yet and probably will never demonstrate the skills he had at 130, 135

the brilliance floyd showed us at those lower weight class is what he would need to get by a prime oscar at 147 and quartey, mosely

floyd at lightweight and below would murder a opponent of baldo's caliber but at welter you guys saw what transpired. floyd would not beat a prime oscar, mosely, or ike at 147.
at 140, floyd would have dominated the living **** out of oscar, get over it. baldomir has a solid chin, get over it. i could see floyd playing with baldo with his supposed lower weight skillset, but carlos has a very good chin. at 140, floyd demonstarted immaculate skills and fought very aggressive and looked unstoppable at that weight class, oscar would be in for a long night, trust me.

Not really, He won the rematch against Shane. He beat Sweet Pea at WW, who i rank ahead of Floyd. Floyd has not faced teh fighters Oscar did at Ww to form an accurate prediction. Going off of baldomir, Mitchell, hatton and Judah does not convince that he would dominate Oscar.

It also depends on what fight Floyd presents, if its in with one punch and get out, he might pull it out.

dlh without a doubt. he came close at 35 and was much much quicker with a better jab in his 20's

I think Floyd wins comfortably at 130. Actually, I give him the edge at any weight against Oscar.

all of these above mentioned guys would have also given floyd hell. floyd hasnt fought near the level of opposition that oscar has fought. oscar at age 35 came close to beating floyd and he was much quicker with a more consistant jab when he was younger. he would have beat mayweather back in his prime

The weight means nothing. Floyd beat Oscar at 154. Floyd beats Oscar at any weight and at any point in both of their careers.

Floyd walks around at 150. Most fighters fight in divisions that are at least 20 pounds south of their natural weight. Floyd didn't belong anywhere near the 154 weight class. Yet, he still beat Oscar and actually fought him toe to toe at some moments in the fight.

                Like Flavor Flav says, WOW!!

Good point. I seriously doubt he goes after any of those guys at WW.

Its not really a good point , because you are judging Floyd from todays environment where he is regarded as the best and picks an chooses his fights accordingly , back then he would be be a hungry fighter with probably more to prove and not universally regarded as high , I think Floyd would give Ike a boxing lesson and would beat Mosley at any time , Pernell beat Oscar and was robbed , I saw an interview of Oscar and Pea together after the fight and Oscar knows he was beat you could see it a mile away in his demeanor , there is really very little between Sweet Pea and Floyd , maybe an edge in power to Floyd .

i have to siagree with the comparison between floyd and pernell, floyd is more fluent than sweet pea was, and floyd was a technician to the core, pernell could be very unorthodox and awkward at times, floyd is a textbook fighter, but i do agree that pernell beat oscar, and yes, floyd beats ike pretty easily, and he damn sure beats mosley at any weight. floyd makes tito look like a damn fool if they ever fought, and we all know how he would dominate vargas. like i've mentioned countless amount of times in the past, no fighter from 154 down can beat floyd, and he could and would beat several fighters at 160.
