and floyd beats oscar at 130 135 and 140 it would be closer but I would give the edge to floyd
for those of you saying oscar couldnt beat mosely, ike, or pernell
how does that prove floyd would beat a prime oscar at 147?
since floyd has fought at 147 and above he has yet and probably will never demonstrate the skills he had at 130, 135
the brilliance floyd showed us at those lower weight class is what he would need to get by a prime oscar at 147 and quartey, mosely
floyd at lightweight and below would murder a opponent of baldo's caliber but at welter you guys saw what transpired. floyd would not beat a prime oscar, mosely, or ike at 147.
Mayweather got an SD against a washed up Oscar...all that needs to be said.
Just because one judge gave it to Oscar you think that means unconditionally it was a close fight , a big problem with Floyd is when he sailing along under no pressure he can look like he aint doing much because his best work is defensively , when considering the weight and size and then watch the fight without commentary in an unbiased manner which you could never do with Floyd , you will see Floyd wins in cruise control .
My money would be on Floyd at 140 to beat prime 140 Oscar the same way Pernel did ( judges saw different, ironic ) , Oscar is a very good elite class fighter just short of those ATG fighters that as somebody said managers to lose the big ones , Floyd is not just an elite fighter but a great .
Oscar never beat a welterweight as good as Mayweather. If he couldn't beat Mosley, he couldn't beat Floyd.

No, two other things need to be said. First, they fought at 154, not 147, the welterweight limit. Second, that should have been a unanimous decision as Mayweather won at least eight rounds.

Exactly, especially a light version of Floyd who didnt have to move up to 154? Floyd would do better then the first fight,he would win ANY DLH IMO,DLH didnt have the skills to beat the perfect boxer
Another judge gave it to Floyd by 1 round(the 12th).
The judges are irrelevant in this discussion as we are going on our opinions of what we saw with our own eyes , my opinion is the fight was nowhere near as close as the scores , i would love to sit in a room with those judges and slo mo remote and say lets score the fight , I would bet my house they score unanimous win to Floyd , scores are so irrelevant to debates like this because in boxing the judges are well known to get things wrong and we all have eyes .
