guerrero is an excellent in and mid range fighter and he's very physical. you can think of him as a David Diaz with better technical skill. he definitely isnt afraid to get bruised and dirty. But I havent seen enough from him to make me think he would defeat Linares. I'm not much on nuthugging on fighters without any valid basis but when it comes to Linares, its hard not to. im hoping he gets a shot at Guerrero and Luevano soon. These fights need to happen for him in order to get him some more attention.

You appear to be very high on this kid as do a few others here, so I am eager to watch him fight a top Featherweight sometime soon. With 25+ fights under his belt, you'd figure he'd start fighting some live opponents some time soon.

Someone before mentioned a fight with Luevano...that could be a good one.
His greatest asset is his composure. Pressure will never work against him simple because he doesn't get anxious or tense. He is always composed, always thinking clearly, always seeing clearly. He has great timing, knows how to use lateral movement, can punch with both hands, throws accurate fluid combinations, has fast hands, and he is smart.

He is not the greatest physical specimen, but there is no fighter in the game today that I feel can match him mentally.

mech, i don't have the karma capability you have, so i have to answer in this thread.

i feel that both litzau and ****rio were on par with larios, if not better. same type of fighter overall...lanky boxer/puncher, but i feel that larios is damaged goods who left his career at 122. litzao and honorio were both live fighters, even though they were both severely outclassed.

i was about to post this. Linares has seldom ever shown and frustration or behavioral language that would indicate that he is struggling or lost. His facial expression is always the same and at times, when most fighters start to show fatigue, he looks even more determined and mean. Seriously, dude reminds me of the serial killer Richard Ramirez.

you are aware that Larios defeated Israel Vazquez CONVINCINGLY by 12th round TKO vic right? He also gave Pacquiao a VERY difficult fight at one point hurting him. Litzau in no way is at Larios level. Larios was a VERY good featherweight and by no means a journeyman.

I agree, classifying Larios as a shot fighter is simply not accurate. He was a long standing champion and a world class fighter. Litzau is nowhere near his level.

Oscar Larios hasn't had a significant win in YEARS. He is well past his best age and weight class. He beat Vazquez like 6 years ago my dude. Last few years he has been stopped by Vazquez and he was dominated by Pacquiao. At 31-32 with 60+ fights under his belt, he is an old man.

I never said he was a journeyman at his best, but now he's little more than a proud ex-champion and a name.

He was also stopped by Vazquez by KO rnd 1 in his 22nd pro fight. Obviously he is not what he use to be, but he would still have no problem handing Litzau an ass whooping.

Poor Litzau, you gotta feel for the guy, he works so hard, but he just isn't that smart. He also boils himself down to that weight.

i can respect that, but regardless, Litzau would get outclassed by this old warrior any day. I like Litzau too and I was hoping he would do good against Guerrero seeing how it was his BIG shot, but it wasnt meant to be. Litzau prolly wont get passed the B level in this boxing game.

its sad to think what Linares has done to Larios though. Because of that fight, Larios will never be able to fight in the US basically ending his career. I hope he invested wisely.
