i did'nt think Ricky would win but u have to consider that he did beat J L Castillo shot or not he beat him & he had already beaten a ledendry fighter in Kostya Tszyu & he is still seen as the Best LWW out there yet when u listen to American fans he is nothing but a ****ing Club Fighter

tell me his credentials dont contradict the notion he is a club fighter ,he is a 2weight World Champion who has beaten an Elite fighter in Tszyu and good fighter in Castillo, see this is where American ignorance comes into it Tszyu was shots same as Castillo yet Oscar was 34 years old when Floyd beat him & J L Castilllo actually beat Floyd

if Hatton is overated then so are claims that Mayweather is the best fighter ever he got beat by a B class fighter in Castillo and was getting beaten by Oscar Dela Hoya untill he gassed out maybe that was to do with his age thats the trouble with fans like u its all one way traffic

Hatton's loss to FLoyd looked so bad because stylistically it was an awafull fight for him from the get go ,i recognised this straight away a said it at the time it all hinges on what the referee alows him to get away with & if the referee is to strict on him i can see it be very one sided and possibly embarrassing

lets not forget how Jones JR embarrssed Toney a very good fighter becasue stylistically he was all wrong for him ,Vernon Forrest beat Shane Mosley up for 12 rounds

Anyone who knows Floyd knows that Floyd works out his opponet first few rounds then steps on the gas as the fight proceeds. He has done that in many of his fights so its not like Oscar was running out of gas,its just that Floyd had worked him out.Same happened to Juda.

As for Ricky,I've never rated him much as a fighet. All he has is courage and thats it,no boxing skills. It took RIcky 38 fights to fight for a real title and yes he beat an old Tsyu who hadnt really fought in 2 years and it ends there.

Its a joke to mention Castillo,Castillo was beaten by Herman Ngunjou, that decision was very suspect.2 Weight champion ,I dont know about that because he ddnt beat an elite fighter.COllazo was outclassed by Mosley yet Hatton struggled getting a gift in that fight.

Its only in Britain that some people genuinely believed Hatton could beat Mayweather. They overlooked all of Hatton's flaws.Being rated best at 140 is unjust,Witter is the best 140 and Ricky knows that

that was a weak reply i must say

1 its just a coincidence that Judah & Oscar are notorious for gassing out in fights and throwing fewer puunches the longer the fight goes ,wake up

2 u disrespect Castillo yet he beat Floyd ,like ive siad many times he may have won the rematch but he was still beaten by him and u yourself are bascially saying he is a B Class fighter

3 Hatton has always struggled with Southpaws he lost to Southpaw fighters in the amateurs like i said styles make fights ,Forrest beat Mosley Amateur and Pro ,Tarver beat Jones amateur and Pro

4 if heart was'nt a skill then ill bet Zab Judah would snap it up by the bottle load ,clearly a skill how dio u think someone like Hatton a "club Fighter" has got to the level he has

I love how you mention Witter, but not Calzaghe. Any other black boxers you want to add; how about Herbie Hide or Matt Skelton?

well, the thing with Tsyzu and Castillo was that Kostya was coming off of a bunch of injuries and a big layoff, and ended up retiring right after the Hatton fight. usually not a sign of a fighter in his prime. I wouldnt consider him shot, not at all, but truthfully he wasnt quite at his best. Castillo had already been through a ton of wars and was having a lot of trouble making weight, that took a lot of years off his body. It was slightly obvious, cause he was coming off a fight that a lot of people thought he actually lost and in the Hatton fight was losing balance and falling over on his own...not a good sign. Still, it was impressive the way Hatton finished him, shot or not.

Mayweather is far from the best fighter ever, Oscar is clearly past his best, and Castillo overall probebly deserved the win against Mayweather. but the thing is, Mayweather came back immediately and beat Castillo in the rematch, so I never understood why people actually critized him for that, even if it should have been a loss. I have to admit I never thought taht much of Hatton(in comparison to other 140 ATGs, at least), but he is very far from a 'club fighter'
...but Castillo was NOT a B fighter...he was pretty darn good, even if I thought his fights with Johnston were a little bit controversial in terms of scoring.

              agreed with most

however i just dont see J L Castillo as an Elite fighter maybe calling him B Class fighter is a bit strong but he is not Elite IMO and popularity for his fights with Corrales have left a lot of people overating him IMO

I Agree about Tszyu & Castillo they were past thier best ,Hatton is not a club fighter though i dont think he is great dont get me wrong but to label him a club fighter

The most annoying bias posters are still the few Americans who discount all European boxers seemingly without a set criteria.

                Still.

That **** is annoying and shows real ignorance lack of intellectual fortitude and basically makes you a ****.

                    And lo...

...given the opportunity to prove themselves not to be one-sided, biased imbeciles, the mighty US boxing fans could only own themselves, by showing themselves to be exactly that....

yeah of course. Even that Vladimir guy has been posting some spot on things recently.

It's when you get some random wankbag using words like 'Amateur' and 'Robotic' and 'European' style. It is usually out of context and means **** all. Just negative hyberbole.
