Ok, he didn't look great against Clottey & lost against Williams but I think he's DEFINTELY ELITE in the WW division! There are fighters with more skill than him, (Mosley, Judah, Quintana etc) but looking at the most recent accomplishments you HAVE to put Margarito up there...
prior to that he turned down 6 mil to fight MArg and fought Mitchell for 4 mil

and after that he turned down 7 mil to fight Judah for 6...

The highlights was questioned in the boxing world by fans, and by boxing writers. I don't belive he got 8 mil for Baldomier not gurrented maybe the ppv added up to 8? And wasn't Goosen also a part of Mayweathers next fight? I think he was, thats cause whatever he paid Mayweather part of that pay included 1 more fight with Goosen.

I'm sayin though...what makes people think Cotto can't stop him? Cause he took Cintron's punches? Cintron was a sitting duck and took a hell of a lot of shots before his punches were even landing, and by then his power was soaked. Who else has Margarito fought that throws precise hard punches at the angles Cotto throws at?

I honestly think Cotto is gonna make him look like he doesn't belong there.

Margarito is still overrated IMO if you look at the quality fighters he's faced compared to who he's KO'd. Clottey gave him a hell of a fight and Clottey took his shots...and well, Pitty Pat Pauly beat him lol.

              Cotto will win decisively.

Never heard anything about a Margarito offer until AFTER the Judah fight! He turned down the 8mill offer b/c it came as a packaged deal that kept him in his contract for several more yrs...I didn't make this up! Provide me a link saying otherwise...

thats cool. we havent seen Cotto against Clottey so we really dont know how to measure Clottey he had one DQ loss against Baldo, a fight he was winning..other then that he beats eveeryone else except Margo. I love it when people underestimate MArgo. Cotto IS the more rounded fighter and should be the favorite, but IF he stops Margarito, thats a big deal..thats HUGE actually..

How you not take him seriously? He'd give anyone at WW problems, he just wont go away.

Hey, I didn't make this info up, if i can find the link where it stated he was getting 8mil guaranteed i will post it...Arum pulled this ****, b/c he was MAD/BITTER that Floyd left Top Rank & I don't think he was GUARANTEED 8mil for the Margarito Fight! I mean at that time NOBODY knew who he was! Arum pulled the "wool" over everyone's eyes...
