Skill and speed wise I wouldn't put him in the elite of the WW division, but when you add in the factor of chin and determination he's probably in the top 5. The Cotto fight is going to be interesting, but I think Cotto has the will to take Marge's best and is just better all around to beat him. Then if Margarito ever fought Mayweather it would be pretty one sided because the speed of Mayweather and his smarts would be just too much. It would basically be a boxing exhibition. I'll agree though Marge is one of the best in the WW division.

Noob next time don't post ****s like you know something ok.

Not only are you a liar, you are also a noob.

The things that you claim to be true have been cleared by competent evidence months ago.

Fake Floyd himself admitted he is a coward so please.

Next time don't be a noob.

Who else has Margarito fought that throws precise hard punches at the angles Cotto throws at?

I honestly think Cotto is gonna make him look like he doesn't belong there.

Margarito is still overrated IMO if you look at the quality fighters he's faced compared to who he's KO'd. Clottey gave him a hell of a fight and Clottey took his shots...and well, Pitty Pat Pauly beat him lol.

          Cotto will win decisively.
Completely agree with you, I think it's like Floyd-Baldomir. Except Cotto is going to destroy Marg. This won't be even close and it's going to make Cotto look like a monster.

Top Rank knows this better than anyone, Cotto's is their main attraction and Cotto- Margarito is going to be an infomercial for Cotto. Everyone is going to see why Mayweather is so scared.

You didn't follow boxing at the time, then. It's all anyone talked about for a full year. Little Greg Leon covered it to death with Arum on a weekly basis, so there should be tons of interviews over at b-talk if you want to go look them up. The 8 mill was guaranteed. And it was made before the Judah fight. At the time it was made, Mayweather and Margarito had each headlined exactly ONE pay-per-view and each had exactly one title. It was an incredible offer at the time. Floyd wanted nothing to do with it. There was a video of Margarito coming up to Floyd at some presser by himself, and Floyd looked very uncomfortable, saying "Let's just let it get a little bigger..." something to that effect.

Floyd wanted nothing to do with Margarito. Anyone who followed that story knows that. C'mon, man. Floyd chose to fight Judah coming off of a loss for less money than he was offered to fight Margarito for a WW title. LOL Margarito was considered the most dangerous and most respected titlist at WW at the time, since Judah had lost to Baldomir and neither had really looked great in the fight. I mean, seriously... good game. The end.

It's really common knowledge that Floyd ducked Margarito. You can argue who would've won, was it a smart move to avoid him, etc etc. But you can't argue that he wasn't avoided by Floyd. Sorry.
