1) I consider Mayweather's fans to be worse. Threads claiming that Mayweather could beat the best at 168 are worse than threads claiming that Calzaghe is p4p #2, particularly when some of those people thought that JMM deserved the decision over Pac.

Besides, most successful boxers have fans who are somewhat annoying and blind to their faults, it just seems as if Calzaghe has more because he was just in a big fight which had a debateable decision, and so there are loads of threads about him/the fight.

Yeah but here is the difference, Mayweather quite possibly has the best skill set ever seen in a boxing ring, there are few guys i have seen with better boxing skill, then again im no expert. Mayweather warrants these comparisions by being a 5 weight title holder and the undisputed best fighter in boxing. Calzaghe doesnt, hopkins is the 1st true world class fighter he fought, and he didnt look good imo.

I see your point though, mayweather is my favorite fighter, but no fighter is unbeatable.

This is a negotiating ploy from Calzaghe. I believe the deal will get made - I doubt very much that Jones prices himself out of the fight. What we won't want, however, is to get screwed. Jones represents the most financially beneficial bout for Calzaghe and he'll want to be paid accordingly. Hopefully they can come to a good compromise.
