Cotto doesn't need to chase Floyd...He can continue to fight the top Welterweights it will only make Floyd look bad.

If Williams wins the rematch against Carlos Quintana then Cotto should fight him after Margarito. (Because Floyd obviously wont fight Cotto) After he beats Williams then Floyd will have no choice but to fight Cotto because thats literally cleaning up the top 5 fighters after floyd and cotto. there wont be any excuses or anyone else to fight and cotto will only get more popular and better.

Someone bump this topic if floyd loses to cotto. Oh, wait he will never fight cotto because cotto is too good. Cotto's jab makes Floyd piss himself, Cottos great at cutting off the ring too... Hmmm, Castillo never had the jab that could worry Floyd. Cotto is also learning with each fighter to box differently, so Floyd now doesn't know which Cotto will show up and I believe Cotto can change his style at will if he has to. Floyds fought the same style throughout his fights. He is just a defensive counter puncher, cotto scares floyd. Cotto isn't no hatton where he leaves himself open all the time throwing wide punches and is predictable, Cotto is unpredictable.

But if Hatton was already a top 10 P4P fighter undefeated and younger then Floyd and people try to downplay that, then it wouldn't be suprising if they did the same if he were to beat Cotto.

It comes with the territory. I disrespected Ricky Hatton myself almost to the point of calling him a bum but all with credible arguments on why he couldn't beat Mayweather. I turned out to be right but it still doesn't change what Hatton was perceived to be. A undefeated P4P fighter who was supposed to be a better version of Castillo.

Seriously how do you REALLY downplay the Hatton victory. He was PRIME p4p undefeated champion. Moving up in weight is the definition of p4p.
