At 21 he would of cleaned house, and once you reach Middleweight, you reach a natural build.

Fighters who hit like a beast at 160 don't land 400 some shots on a welterweight. They would be dead, great chin or not.

Kelly Pavlik would break Baldomir and Margarito's face I'm pretty sure.

Trinidad could not hit hard at 160. Sorry man.

MIddleweight is a prime divsion just like Heaveyweight and so is Welterweight. All the middle divsions competition is soft. Trinidad just met as great Middleweight where he slammed Joppy.

Personally I wanna see Alex De Jesus vs Floyd Mayweather, since Pollo is cerdited to be a Parnelll Whitaker fighter. Style wise it'll be a great boxing match. Cottos not gonna beat Mayweather with all the hugging he did against Shane Mosley.

"**** outa here, at 140 pounds cotto puts hatton into hospital, at 147 pounds he puts him into the morgue."

LOL that's what I was thinking. The thing is with Floyd is, no one has really ever been able to catch him, in anyway that resembles a sustained effort. It's a question of styles. We know Cotto has the power, the question is can he catch him in a sustained way, early enough to alter the course of the fight. Don't know if he can do it, but he's probably the best version out there that has a chance.

I know guys say Margarito but I think he's too slow for Floyd and we'll have a pretty good idea about that after the Cotto fight.

William Joppy was destroyed in 5 rounds. 5 rounds. Not even 8 pounds bigger Bute could do that against old as hell Joppy. Destroyed Mayorga in 7, which is still pretty good.

He might have not been the best puncher, but he sure as hell had some pop in his punch.

I doubt I ever read about Floyd having been part of one of the lowest ratings on HBO boxng ever when he fought on non-ppv events.

Well then you should have waited until December to make this thread because I responded now and I have facts to back up my argument that Cotto-Delahoya like Trinidad-Delahoya will not do bigger numbers then May 5th's The World Awaits.
You can't compare tito vs dlh to floyd vs dlh. at the time when he faced tito, there were a lot of other good PPVs going on. The heavyweight divison was good at the time, tyson and lewis were fighting during those times. Also, I remember not buying the fight because a friend of mine had one of those illegal boxes (which were pretty common at the time, which made it possible to not buy the fights but still get to watch them).

During floyd vs dlh people (causal fans) had been waiting for a while for a good boxing match and jumped on the first decent fight that came along. if dlh vs tito happened at the time of the floyd fight, it would have done better. at the time floyd didn't have the following that tito had.

At the the tito time, Oscar was more popular and Tito was more popular than floyd. In fact Oscar's popularity started going downhill with his performance during the championship rounds of the Tito fight.

Not at the time they fought, which was after Kostya Tszyu detonated him. If they fought at 140, maybe Mitchell could have earned a decision but another boxer named Malignaggi had the same mentality and didn't succeed much.

If they fought at 147, Cotto-Quintana II...

2501 was joking. I'd bet my house on it.

LOL I'd have hoped so. DLH would have had the best chance of beating Cotto because of Cotto's slower body movement. The guys who gave DLH trouble were kinetic types like Mayweather and Mosley.
