Thats why I think Floyd is rooting for Cotto.....He can dominate and go out beating the guy who beat Cotto.....badly.

Marg also will be a bigger star aftre a Cotto fight too...and he has Mexican followers so its still a big fight.

what you say doesn't matter, its what i perceive you saying. understand that, boy.

pertaining to the topic - floyd has an easier fight with margarito because of the angles he'd give him which would present margarito with the inability to let his shots off. cotto would be a totally different demon, i don't see floyd leaving the ring without his first L, yeah .. cotto is that good.

He will not have time to think. Cotto tends to fight at a slower pace than Margarito. That will give Floyd time to think and set up an offensive plan in his head. Margarito isnt a very skilled boxer, nor does he have a good defense, but he sure makes up for it with his workrate, power, iron chin, and stamina.
I agree, and I still believe that Mayweather is weak on pressure. Real pressure. Floyd looked uncomfortable with Hatton - he said it was his toughest fight. Margarito is a bigger slower, stronger Castillo in some senses..

Clottey and Cintron both got pretty good pop and had Tony walkin into their shots tryin to get aggressive. Neither one of em could do any real damage to him. Floyd is faster and more accurate than both those guys but he don't have as much power. Walkin through shots to get his in is what Marg does good as anyone, except maybe Andrade. Floyd would make mad contact but I don't see him phasin Tony. Can't say the same about Cotto.

That's a lie, he never said that. Floyd can't lose to someone as slow as Marg, Baldo tried to do the same thing that Marg would do (granted Marg has much mroe power) but their speeds aren't that much different and it wouldn't be that difficult of a fight to score.

Come to think of it, I think Floyd would prefer that Margarito beats Cotto. That way, he can discredit Margo's past losses, and say that its not worth fighting him, therefore avoiding the fight once again. Floyd will say that Margarito will need to rematch Williams first. On the other hand, there will be no more excuses for Floyd if Cotto were to win. Floyd will have no choice but to either retire, or fight him.

Margarito is too SSSSLLLOOOWWW for PBF to be worried about. He could EASILY duck and dodge anything Margo throws his way. Cotto, on the other hand, is more accurate with his punches, hits harder, and has faster hands and a more difficult style with more head movement.

Nope, I think Floyd would make easier work of Margarito but would win a fight with either fighter. He makes more money with Cotto, tho.

i've never liked the castillo / margarito comparison. the only thing these dudes share is the same bloodline.

castillo was a master inside boxer, who used distance as his ultimate equalizer along with his nasty left to the cuerpo.

castillo could beat you in a variety of ways, he effectively chased down boxers and his other stalk and kill you method can go w/out saying.

it'll be easier however, to see if there is any truth to the comparison after june 9th.
