Who Would Mayweather Rather Not Have To Deal With?

Im a big Cotto fan, but i think Floyd would rather face Cotto instead of Margarito. For starters, Floyd can NOT hurt Margarito. I'll say it again..."HE CANNOT HURT MARGARITO". Margo will take Floyd best punches, and just keep coming forward throwing bombs. Floyd will be forced to fight every second of every round, and it will make him very uncomforatable. He will not have time to think. Cotto tends to fight at a slower pace than Margarito. That will give Floyd time to think and set up an offensive plan in his head. Margarito isnt a very skilled boxer, nor does he have a good defense, but he sure makes up for it with his workrate, power, iron chin, and stamina.

Cotto is smaller.....Cotto has a suspect chin...Cotto has suspect stamina( last 4 rounds of SSM fight)....Cotto has a shorter reach......Cotto doesnt have a high workrate.

It's my personal opinion that you guys are assuming too much about margarito's chin, just because he took the best shots of a completely, COMPLETELY unproven guy in cintron, beans jack **** when your talking about a fighter on the level that mayweather's at. Daniel Santos had margarito hurt just by being a little bit slick.

I could see mayweather killing both those guys, but I think coming up with a gameplan to beat Margarito is the easier option with those wide looping punches of his/ come straight forward style.

Margarito is slow and cumbersome but he has that chin and size. Cotto is faster but not quite in the same league dynamically as Floyd, and Cotto can be hurt and/or stopped.

I think Mayweather would rather face Cotto if he had a choice.

At the same time though I think Mayweather would like to see Margarito beat Cotto. Knowing Floyd he would take the Cotto fight with Miguel off a loss.

Interesting, Cintron is unproven in many aspects including the cans he's knocked out, but the concept of a puncher's power being unproven in this specific sense is fairly new. So you think Margarito's chin is overrated, M?
