most of the ppl who sent emails to espn for a cotto-mayweather fight were from UR country.

cotto-mosley made more than all the floyd ppv except the fight with hatton and de la hoya.

I'm a boxing fan but to me I'm trained to deal with figures and making decisions based on benefits.Even if I was Floyd or Floyd's manager,I wouldnt fight Cotto at the moment.I would wait until Cotto grew more in stature.

Those endorsements are testament to Cotto's growth.That means he's improving and soon the fight will happen.The point here is yes Cotto is great but at the moment Floyd has more rewarding fights than Cotto.Maybe a year from now Cotto will be worth Floyd's time.

Average Joe fan does not care about "economics and legacy" This is why boxing is no longer mainstream. While Floyd wants the least risk and most reward, I cannot think of a single fan that wants to pay to see floyd fight soft opposition on ppv. This is sick.

I understand business, but this is FIGHTING, floyd and leonard should open a ****ing lemonade stand if they're only worried about the bottom line.

This is only sport where the idea of the two best fighting is a stretch, what if New England said they weren't playing the Giants because they didnt have the ratings that the Packers would get...

You forget that corley had floyd hurt on a couple of occassions and went 12 rounds with him, judah legitmately knocked floyd down, and cotto put a real beating on both of them and stopped them. This isn't an argument on who would win between cotto and floyd, GOD you floyd fans just read what you wanna read, and hear what you wanna hear! Some of you guys get way too emotional over meaningless comments. You guys act like Floyd is not already locked in to fight De La Hoya. Cotto is also locked in for a July fight with Margarito.

All Leonard Ellerbe is doing is posturing and promoting. They fully realize Cotto got next. However, Team Mayweather is going to talk smack and say things like Cotto ain't ready, blah, blah... what that does is create PUBLIC INTEREST.

It also forces Team Cotto to possibly start throwing a few barbs back at Team Mayweather... and then, guess what? The fight will be made and people will be excited to see it.

Exactly this is why they need to fight each other, both cotto and floyd have knocked off the two old greats in oscar and shane, thus why this fight needs to happen, il say again is a huge fight which would give floyd his biggest pay day (hatton and oscar aside). These Floyd nuthuggers crack me up. They sit here defending Mayweather for not fighting the best but for going where the money is and for being a "smart business man".
