Fighting the best not a goal of Mayweather

Sorry fight fans but FIGHTING THE BEST IS NOT A GOAL OF MAYWEATHER.

    Mayweather's goals are:
    1. Stay undefeated (adding to his legacy)
    2. Make as much money as possible.

These goals don't include fighting the best fighters in his class like Cotto, Margarito or Winky Wright. Instead he will fight blow up Jr. Welterweights (Hatton), aging Welterweights (DLH) or weak title holders (Judah, Baldomir).

What you will not see is the money train (Team Mayweather) be derailed by fighting a good welterweight or Jr. Middleweight (Cotto, Margarito, Winky Wright).

If you want a fight watch a fighter.. if you want entertainment.. watch Floyd.

That's a motto for everyday life and we all adhere to it whether you like it, or admit to it or not. Why should fighters be any different just because WE as fans want to see them fight regardless. Most you people bitching about it wouldn't pay 100 bucks to watch on ppv if you could pay 59.00 so be realistic!
I'm sure its even more difficult considering that Cotto fought Gomez, wasnt there another fight out there?

      Can you justify that fight

Don't worry after Cotto fights and beats Margo, He'll have enough market value for a lucrative fight to be made between PBF and Cotto.
PBF beating Cotto will definitely solidify his legacy, There would be no questions then. Besides that's nothing a little HBO 24/7 can't fix

So Cotto gets criticized for the very thought of fighting and opponent who essentially legitimized Mayweather-De La Hoya, in the sense that he paved the way to Floyd's "6th title in 5th weight class." I don't get it.

Also, you forgot to mention Oscar had fought 6 rounds in 3 years, arguably lost 3 of his 4 last fights, and two fights removed from being KO'd in controversial fashion.
plain and basic common sense. i love it.

Theres not one fight people would rather see. As pressure builds up he will use Arum as an Excuse not to fight him. Yet he talks about a fight with Pacman hes a joke.
Turn down 8 million, build his name up to beat oscar de la hoya and raise is STAKE as a boxer among the whole world drastically.

A fight with Marg now will be worth more money.

A fight with cotto is drawing near but not as big because The boxing regulars don't know cotto.

If ya want to watch an entertainer.. watch Mayweather.

Floyd challenged Winky Wright at 154 but when Winky quickly accepted Floyd them declined.

When has boxing been about fighting people with ratings?? Why the **** do we have organizations, titles, and rankings for then????? Hbo, showtime, versus, and espn should all come out with their own championship belts. The person with the highest tv ratings should be considered the champion and hold the title. Then all the networks would rank all fighters not by skill but by tv ratings and set up fights that way. I like mayweather I will not sit here and say he sucks or is a coward. There is no doubt he is the best fighter in the world and i don't ever see cotto beating him but floyd needs to just make the fight happen. he should fight the winner of marg/cotto. I'm slowly starting to get impatient with floyd. I will wait to see what he does after dlh to see if i will continue supporting him. He has enough talent to let people borrow. he is the best fighter in the world. I don't see anyone beating him but he is cheating all us fans of watching guys trying to beat him and cheating all the other boxers an opportunity to beat him.

How many times does that have to be said?

He just finished fighting Malignaggi, Judah and Mosley...

                      Get it now?
