But it is not what u want or what i want. it's what he wants, he got to do the fighting. It's just ridiculous to imply that he is cared of losing to Cotto and he is fearful. That is what i'm defending.....a lot of u act as if u been watching boxing just this year. How many big matchups and highly anticipated matchups have ever happened right away. quit whining!!! and tell Cotto to bring da $$$

I'm a boxing fan first and a Cotto fan second. All I want to see is the best fight the best and those two right now without a question are Cotto and Mayweather. I don't care if Cotto loses, which I don't think he will, I just want to see him fight. Why can't you *****s just agree with us in that? or is all that Mayweather semen starting to make you blind.
        lol all the *****s !!!!

        • its floyds resume whos kind of shaky;name one big name he beat before moving up 2 welter?now lets look @the so called big names hes beaten,,corrales who? old gatti that gomez KOd,,judah who went the distance,,old azz dlhoya whos about the same age as mosley,,and overrated mr. one dimensional hatton,,please my eliterits of boxing before you try and disect the cotto resume @ welterweight, compare it with ur so called pound for pound and see that he hasnt been tested yet.and its floyd whos been nit picking his way ever since his jr. welterweight days.no wonder it took him 9 years to be a big name.and must i remind you as soon as a possible fight with up and coming cotto @ jr. welterweight started 2 surface he moved up 2 welter supposebly 4 more money;now cotto moved up;it wouldnt surprise me if in 2009 after cotto beats margarito which i have no doubts floyd decides 2 move up 152lbs. excuses excuses its sad floyd and all his fans are so good with excuses. in my view hands down cottos the 147lbs. fighter in the world.

ha ha! I know its ridiculous! To say floyd has nothing to gain from winning this fight is ridiculous as well, cotto has beaten everyone floyd has beaten more convincingly, has a better resume at 147 and is undefeated well supported champion. You add a 24/7 onto it and it is a huge fight.

I believe this fight would be very competitive as well, and wouldn't it be nice to see floyd marked up and have to show some heart and dig deep. Floyd has never had an equal, or a rival in his prime that people can look at in years and say remember those fights they were classics, the brawler against boxer. Sugar ray had duran

Honestly Floyd has nothing to gain in this fight, absoulutely nothing.Floyd has gone up to 154 and beaten a WBC champion who was way bigger than him and still very fast.Lets face it Oscar was a dangerous fighter who had brutally knocked out Mayorga in a previous fight.

I think its good to take both sides ,Floyd has a genuine reason of not fighting Cotto.
Funny. For the last few months, there have been rumors of Cotto fighting Mayorga. Floyd fans have been very vocal in their disgust and criticism that fight, even though Mayorga making 147 is about as likely as James Toney making cruiserweight again. So Cotto gets criticized for the very thought of fighting and opponent who essentially legitimized Mayweather-De La Hoya, in the sense that he paved the way to Floyd's "6th title in 5th weight class." I don't get it.

Also, you forgot to mention Oscar had fought 6 rounds in 3 years, arguably lost 3 of his 4 last fights, and two fights removed from being KO'd in controversial fashion.

I too am a boxing fan. I want to see that fight more than any other fight actually . However, as a fan of Mayweather I see where he's coming from. If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense! That's a motto for everyday life and we all adhere to it whether you like it, or admit to it or not. Why should fighters be any different just because WE as fans want to see them fight regardless. Most you people bitching about it wouldn't pay 100 bucks to watch on ppv if you could pay 59.00 so be realistic!

and cotto beat them after Floyd. Almost got knocked out against Corley and had to low blow Judah 3 times
Cotto just ain't he boxer that Floyd is and he is not on his level no matter how times u try and say it

One would have to assomb that you have nuts, like one would have to assomb at this point that he will beat Hatton and DeLaHoya. Its not done yet. And there are always upsets.
