It's not Cotto's style that could beat Floyd, but Cotto's intelligence

Both have stayed calm and collected during every fight... except one each.

Cotto lost his mind against Torres in my opinion, but not as bad as...

Mayweather lost his mind against DeMarcus Corley. He seriously looked like he was on a mission to lose by just all-out brawling.
I think it was a few factors...1) testing the waters at 140lbs 2) putting on a show for live HBO 3) under-estimated a slick, veteran, southpaw
All-n-All he recovered well, showing A LOT of heart & then proceeded to kick Corley's @$$ for the remainder of the fight...

A young Cotto could do nothing else but fight his way out of the Torres fight, he is MUCH better now!

Are you familiar with that word? If not, let me show you what the definition is.

Now, again I'm going to ask you, where did I make that suggestion?
Read my post again you wannabe smart-ass. I said that you said "his intelligence COULD beat Floyd" Do you know the meaning of the word could?!?!

And that's beside the point of this ******-ass topic - you said that if Cotto beats Floyd it's because intelligence, and my point is that is precisely why he would never be able to - because his intelligence is incomparable to Floyd's.

amazing how posters let their emotions post for them. its like you guys dont understand the meaning of the words "Could" or "If", you just see Cotto and Floyd in the same sentence and you're already know what you're gonna post without even reading the subject matter. this goes for both sides.

Cotto is much better now by far. But let's look at some of his WW fights. Against Urkal he looked very vulnerable against somebody who we could consider a boxer. Zab a boxer/puncher was getting at him tough too and he then lowblowed him 3 times. Then he fought Mosley and surprised me I must say with great timing and a nice jab. But Mosley isn't necessarily known for his boxing ability. He outhustles and brawls you with speed. He doesn't really box and he doesn't have a jab. So in hindsight I still think Cotto will struggle with boxers with speed and good footwork.

Also Mosley gets hit too often, he defense is his offense...Floyd on the other hand is quick, elusive, and more of a boxer with great counterpunching abilities (can counter body shots well too, block bodyshot and then counter, BAM, then get back too defensive, repeat few times) I think Floyd will frustrate Cotto.

hahaha I love the fact that you wrote a post about people not understanding the word "could" at the same time that I called YOU out for not reading it in MY post, and then you are forced to reply with a childish insult.

When was the last time you made a post that was fully correct? WRONG, Floyd made the decision to fight it out with Corley to make a statement. Cotto was drawn into brawling with Torres because..........actually I am starting to think he couldn't help himself because the same thing could have happened against Mosley but he switched it up then.

what is the definition of "could" then? give it to me like i explain the definition of "If". Explain to me where I compared Cotto's intelligence to Floyd's or even equated it.

Wow, what a great show of ring intelligence, to get away from your strengths to make a statement.

                      Try again.

Cotto got into a brawl with Torres from the start because he had him hurt in the first round, and got caught with a big shot when he was going for the finish.
