I think the Only advantage the UFC has over boxing is that you either knock the guy out in those 3 rounds or 5 if its a championship fight, theres no ****ty decisions either as in boxing , and the UFC fighter goes in there with a mentality of knocking out the opponent and not relying on points, and thats good how many times have we seen those ****ty Robberies in boxing.

On the other Hand Boxing Owns UFC on other factors Talent Basicly, You cant compare The technique they have in boxing amongst UFC. And the Discipline and training in their punches. The point is you can find any kind of UFC fighter out there on any gym but in boxing you cant because it is the harder sport and you have to rely on your talent more and more things come into play

I went to this place where they charge to watch the fights. Usually it was just boxing but now they had boxing and UFC on. Well this place has tons of screens inside. Usually you could here the announcers on the speakers, but since UFC was on, boxing was only playing on two screens with no sound while UFC was playing in the rest. All you here was UFC commentators and people screaming while they were watching UFC fights. What makes it worst is the boring fight from last night and the more than weak undercard. As soon as they announced the decision the two screens that had boxing changed to the UFC fights. What is hurting boxing is these weak fights and the undercards. I would have rather paid for last weeks Marg and Cotto doubleheader than this bull**** they put together to make money.

UFC is appealing to older fans is well. the cards feature 5 or 6 enjoyable fights unlike the **** cards boxing is producing. your lucky to get one half decent fight sometimes. The sport will decline if it does not attract more mainstream interest

Things are great at the moment but I really worry when great fights like vasquez marquez, pac marquez don' get exposure but ****e like last night and dlh mayweather attrct the only attention. it really is worrying

First off in 2007 Boxing beat UFC in PPV #'S and live gate look it up....UFC is all comercialization and will fade trust me...If MMA was so big why then can no other compaines put on PPV's and be successfull? UFC has a monoply on the so-called sport just imagine if this guy GSP was to fight an average UFC fighter but fought on his own promotion with say 3 local guys on an undercard it wouldn't draw **** because MMA can't sell without the UFC name. Good points by all and it's true next time you see a UFC event look into the crown all you will see is rich white frat boys who yell and scream. There are not many blacks,Hispanics or Asian fans. Young white guys seem themselves in the UFC because let's face it there is one good white American Boxer so they identify more with the UFC. How can a White kid growing up in rich suburbia identify with Cotto?Marquez?Pacquiao,or Mayweather it's pretty simple. Finally Boxing requires athleticsm and true skill ANYONE AND I MEAN ANYONE can do MMA it's nothing but a bar fight

Go try to win the Abu Dhabi Combat Classic, BJJ Mundials, The Pan-Ams (in Boxing AND Judo) and then try out for an Olympic spot (in GR and Freestyle Wrestling, Judo and Boxing).
