If I were a boxing fan, I wouldn't bring this kind of topic up to fighters or guys like Harold Lederman. That is unless your idea of a good time is being condescended on by pundits.

Bottom line, if Mayweather could beat Pavlik, he would have already.
IF Cory Spinks can damn near beat Jermaine Taylor then Floyd Mayweather can, given the right amount of time, beat Kelly Pavlik.

I could see if Kelly had this lightning fast jab and solid defense, but he doesn't.

You think Kelly would whoop Winky Wright?

im not favoring floyd in this fight... all im saying is... its not impossible... it is possible for floyd to run, stick and move for 12 rounds without getting caught and win a boxing ass decision... its certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
If you lived in NY, you'd see a lot of these guys on a semi-regular basis at Gallagher's Steakhouse. But thats only if you live in NY.

Hey, if you're going to say that Mayweather can do this, then why not Oscar who has beaten guys who were bigger than the guys Floyd has beaten. Surely Fernando Vargas, Yori Campas and Felix Sturm were bigger than the guys PBF has beaten.

If Mayweather was a true welterweight, he'd have beaten Cotto by now. If he was a true junior middleweight, he would have beaten someone other than de la Hoya by now. If he could be a middleweight champion, he would have done so by now. Then why would he be wasting time with small fries like Hatton when there are all of these big fish ready for the taking?

asking YOU to start a polll was SARCASM... i WOULDVE STARTED my own if I REALLY believed ( Like you apparently do )that it meant anything of significance.. like when we are debating who would win in a fight, then you say "we'll lets start a poll to see "..THEN you actually believe that whoever wins the poll would win the fight..... thats your favorite thing to do besides ramble, is start polls....

hey im definitely not talking about his willingness to fight the best...

its obvious he doesnt have that... not anymore at least

im only talking about his ability...

floyd could go down as one of the greatest... if he had that willingness to challenge himself, and the best around him.... sadly he doesnt...

I don't think Cory Spinks almost beat Jermain Taylor and I don't think Jermain Taylor can beat Kelly Pavlik.

I do think Pavlik can beat Winky Wright because Winky hasn't been invincible since moving to middleweight. That and he doesn't maintain his weight between fights. If you weighed him right now, I wouldn't be shocked if he was around 185. After 35, it's hard to be effective dropping 25 pounds and beating young champions.
