I can only assume those comments are in jest, otherwise you just presented Exhibit's A and B to my original argument.

What's the point if talking about fights 4 and 7 years old?
Big, as in for general public, fame and money? Yes, you can say that.

But neither really had a good chance against him to begin with. DLH really had nothing to beat hopkins to begin, he just did not have the size, power or stamina. And as later histroy showed Tito's potented power was really detoriarated in the higher divisions.

It would be a good fight. But if the Corrie Sanders Wlad showed up, forget about it.

Beating "names" doesn't matter at all when they are from lower weight classes.

Tito was repeated knocked down by welterweights, outboxed by a few as well.

Oscar was great but the 2003 middleweight Oscar was not
I made a similar point the other day when I pointed out that Kessler was a tougher fight than any Hopkins has taken on in the last couple of years but apparently some people are still fooled by Antonio Tarver and that Kessler and Winky can only be compared relative to their skills which seems ****** to me.

Pfft, I can make a very solid case of Wlad beating Tyson, very solid.

We really will never know what would have happened, but as a gymnastic for the mind I can predict it would not be easy for such a small guy like Tyson to deal with Wlad. No matter Tyson's tools. Have you seen the actual size difference between him and Vitaly?

I doubt Wlad would take Tyson lightly, not bother training or even shaving for that fight.

Trinidads power later proved to be deteriorated? Huh? Did I miss something?

He wasted Joppy (always been durable) and anihalated Mayorga after a huge layoff. It wasn't so much his power that was ineffective versus Winky as his tactics and skill. And Tito would have to have to be have boulders in his gloves to carry his power to LIGHT HEAVY versus Jones, that'd be a leap of nearly 30Lbs since his original class. That's like expecting RJJ to KO John Ruiz. Clown.

Yeah, but he had to hit both with like hundred punches to even get their attention.

And let's not talk about Jones, Jones walked through Tito's punchers, and that's the guy who was not willing to take a decent punch for a good while.

WOW @ this argument. I'm pretty sure that's what Calzaghe does. It's kinda the point of boxing, ya know?

Yeah, but when you are called one of the greatest punchers alive, you bettah knock'em out with one or two.
