The Lacy pre beating did well against Wright Dan Birmingham himself has said it and Jeff said Handled him well not handled him.
Im mearly trying to point out that every southpaw win for Hopkins means nothing Calzaghe is a different animal and visa versa although i feel Eubank is very close to Hopkins style wise and think at 31yo Eubank is every bit as good as a 43yo Hopkins.Comment

I'm 1-1 on this one.
With Hopkins/Wright, I saw Winky play to Bernard's benefit all night long, languishing on the inside, forcing the fight, he played right into Hopkins' hands and allowed Bernard to do what he does best :dictate the pace. Everytime he tried to force something Bernard made him pay.
It wasn't a beautiful affair for the eyes but it looked like a very one sided street fight to me, I had it 117-111 Hopkins.
With Barrera/Marquez, I still think Barrera took that one. With the knockdown that wasn't counted and the point that wouldn't have been deducted if Jay Nady did his job, that's a 3 point swing right there. Barrera got caught a lot by Marquez but I think that 3 point swing ultimately ****ed him, he put Marquez's ass on the deck and they took it away from him.Comment

You know me so well.
I know that was said, I wasn't questioning you saying that. I just have a hard time envisioning that such a crude power puncher would "handle" Wright. The Lacy pre beating did well against Wright Dan Birmingham himself has said it and Jeff said Handled him well not handled him.

Lol, so far we have had a bunch of Hopkins fans say Hopkins won it, and a couple of Wright fans saying Wright won it.I'm 1-1 on this one.

Wow 117-111 Hopkins thats wide.
As for the Barerra/Marques that crook Nady cost Barerra it was a 4 point swing instead of a 10-8 Barerra it was a 10-8 Marques seing as judges rarely score even rounds.Comment

I am 1-1 with on on this.
With Hopkins/Wright, I saw a clear and decisive Hopkins victory. Wright did nothing to make a case for himself, he languished too long on the inside, which allowed Bernard to do his best work. When he became frustrated he tried to force the action, and Hopkins was constantly countering him.
It wasn't a beautiful affair for the eyes but what I've seen everytime I watch it is a very ugly, one-sided street fight in which Wright plays to Hopkins' strengths the entire fight. I scored it 117-111 for Hopkins.
With Barrera/Marquez I'm with you on this one. I thought Barrera won that fight and still do, there were times where Marquez looked really spectactular but Barrera had his moments as well. Couple that with the knockdown Barrera was never credited with and the point Nady deducted from him for hitting behind the head (which was Nady's fault for not doing anything) and you get a 3 point swing that would've won the fight for Barrera.Comment

fight was a long time ago i remember harold lederman had the fight a draw and i gave winky some rounds harold didnt
so i probably had winky by 2 points
just cuz hopkins wasnt doing nothing except clinching and punching which i dont count as a legit punch cuz its illegal to grab and punch
still the fight wasnt a robbery it coulda gone either way
what upsets me is the las vegas judges scorecards
i dont see how anyone could agree with themComment

i had winky winning by two
even harold lederman had the fight a draw
all hopkins did was clinch and punch which is illegal so i didnt count those punches
still the fight was close and i dont think it was a robery
but the las vegas judges cards were ridiculous 117-111 cmon
its obvious they were golden boy judges winky had no chance of winning a decision that nightComment
