There are no double standards is that we know Cotto is better than Margo or Floyd. You forget Cotto can put on pressure as good or better than Margarito and can box circles around him. And in Mayweather's case Cotto can box as good as Mayweather and can pressure him until he crumbles.

Cotto is the more versatile fighter he can box or pressure, Margarito can't box and Mayweather can't pressure is as simple as that.

This is the **** people are talking about. People can't really be reading what is said in threads and pass this statement by.

That statement is by far one of the dumbest I have ever read. That is not a realistic statement.

you don't get it. If it's so easy to outbox a pressure fighter like the cotto people say he will do to marg then you have to put the same logic to use in a cotto/floyd fight since cotto will be the pressurer and will get outboxed by floyd.

I get it, if you are talking in general terms, like you just did. But when you put names there, we are not talking anymore about just pressure fighters, boxers, or boxer-punchers, we are talking about specific fighters with debatable strengths and weaknesses.

As it is, I think it's better for Cotto to try to outbox Margarito, since Antonio can take a punch and has outstanding stamina, and I also think it would be a good strategy for Cotto to overpower Mayweather.

You got it all wrong. Cotto's fans (me included) are saying Marg is easy to outbox, not pressure fighters in general... Marg has bad hand speed and doesnt do so well when people are throwing back. Cotto's pressure is much smarter, he's more accurate and god damn does he dig to the body. That is what will be interesting to see vs Mayweather.
