Why Doesnt Cotto Call Out Mayweather?! Ill tell you why...

Because he has over a million people around the world all saying it for him.

I do find it funny, although maybe not to the EXTENT... but Cotto did to Gomez what Mayweather did to Gatti...

My, "oh ****" o-Meter on Miguel Cotto went from a 6.5 to an 8 with that fight... and it has nothing to do with fighting Gomez, He showed a fully effective arsenal... not one dimensional at all...

Good **** Cotto keep it coming... If you talked to me 3 months ago, I wouldnt of said any of this, but the recent business decisions Floyd has made to NOT further his legacy, and Cotto's willingness to prove it non-stop... lessens my concern for Mayweathers financial stance, and enlightens me on Cottos escalation.

Im still not gonna say I think Cotto can beat Mayweather... but my likeness of each fighter has evened a lot more.

    Chips?

but when the dust setles..it was still Gomez he brutalized.

I actually like Cotto.....I think the only mistake Floyd is making is that hes letting Cotto gain GREAT exp against may diffrent styles of fighters.....albeit none of them come close to Floyd but still.....Mosley..Quiatana...Judah....Margarito..e tc>>

True he does have everyone saying it for him, but just imagine if Larry asked him about Mayweather and Cotto said something like "Mayweather is a *****, he wont fight me, next question..". A phrase like that would have everyone looking at Floyd like a punk and would have to respond. I think the fight will happen eventually, but a simple phrase from Cotto like that could do wonders in my opinion.

Because it would make the welterweight's future fights more boring!

Seriously, consider if Floyd did agree to fight Cotto... the fans would be getting absolutely ****ed by not getting to see Cotto-Margarito.

Mayweather will fight Cotto eventually, he has to and he knows it. He's going to do whatever he can in the meantime to make as much money as possible.

That would literally be the best response I have ever heard to any question. That is to the point, brutally honest, and uses the most aggressive terminology that it could. Badass. You need to get to be a terrific fighter so you can say like that to Larry Merchant, so I can laugh at home. That was great.

Yeah but I really don't think Cotto is that kind of guy. At least I've never read or heard about him openly attacking somebody like that.

                Thank you man....

Another reason Im not tripping on a Cotto fight right now is because I want to see Mayweather fight more..I gurantee he will retire after he beats Cotto.

In the meantime..I can watch him against Oscar...Hatton....then maybe Cotto.

Do you think he is building up his funds because he does believe there is at least a decent chance to lose to Miguel Cotto, and he knows that if that decent chance comes true, his drawing and money-making power is going to be slammed back down to mediocre?
