One quick thing, someone in another thread mentioned Cotto vs. Trinidad and I commented on Trinidad's illegally wrapped hands. He countered with Cotto's illegally skinned gloves, I haven't heard of this and aske dhim, he directed me to you.

Fill me in on this, I don't follow Cotto much, I just watch him fight. What's the rumor on his gloves?

Y'all need to realize the first time Cotto got wobbled was by a quick shot to the temple by Demarcus Corley. Sure Corley doesn't have a good knockout rate, but that doesn't mean your punches are madd weak. Corley supposedly had a chance of finishing Cotto off in that fight and he didn't. That could be the reason his knockout rate is so low, he's simply not that good of a boxer to go for the kill. So stop wit Cotto having a weak chin, it was a shot that he clearly didn't expect and you know those hurt the most, the ones you don't see.

In the Torres fight, Cotto took this fight on three weeks notice, he was expected to fight someone else, I forgot. Anywho, Torres was 26-0, 24 KO's, I believe, so you know he has to be a hard hitter. Takin' on a fighter wit that kinda record on three weeks notice? ****. Torres was the challenger, he knew about Cotto. Cotto didn't know Torres until he stepped in the ring with him and still knocked him out.

Cotto has a great chin. It's just his defense hasn't been that great which causes him to get hit wit one of the hardest shots any of your favorite boxers ever took and he handles 'em well.

Well a lot of people talkin bout him getting hurt by Marg. While I no doubt can see it happening, I wasn't referring to that upcoming fight. I was just saying in general so far. But yeah, no doubt I feel he can be hurt and may go down against Marg. Marg hits hard, doesn't stop throwing, and Cotto can be hit.

How did Torres know Cotto and Cotto didnt know Torres?? Torres took the fight on three weeks notice so they both knew they were fighting each other?

And for the record that fight was off the damn chain

Cotto, has yet to be OFFICIALLY knocked down from being hurt, and has recovered well in the past. Now at 147lbs his chin is not a factor. Yet even when people talked so much including me, in reality, he hasn't even been knocked down as bad as Tito has been in the past. I guess it's just when people are hating, they gotta find anything and ride on it until the fighter really demonstrates his wares.
cotto's chin is ok but not great.

Will you be a fan if he pulls the upset? Because, it seems to me everyone, including us Cotto fans know Marg is the juggernaut in this situation. We know Cotto has the tools, but he's more the boxer using technique to survive in there.

Cotto needs to focus like never before, and set up that jab to hit the liver. It's the only way. However, Tony might know this, so he might adjust and defend downstairs. Can he really eat power jabs all night? He walks through punches, but has he ever faced someone as accurate as Cotto with a jab that slowly starts disfiguring your face?

Those are my two scenarios, Cotto works the body, and slows Marg down, maybe a 10-15% chance of knocking down Margo (but not TKO o KO), or hitting him so many times that the fight gets stopped on cuts etc...

Margo just was to do his tornado dance and start blasting since round 1 and he could get the W.

i dont think Cotto has a great chin and im a Cotto fan but he has learned to fight with his hands up and his chin down since the Torres fight

btw i thought Kermit Cintron showed a great chin in his fight with Margarito
