Cotto needs to focus like never before, and set up that jab to hit the liver. It's the only way. However, Tony might know this, so he might adjust and defend downstairs. Can he really eat power jabs all night? He walks through punches, but has he ever faced someone as accurate as Cotto with a jab that slowly starts disfiguring your face?

Those are my two scenarios, Cotto works the body, and slows Marg down, maybe a 10-15% chance of knocking down Margo (but not TKO o KO), or hitting him so many times that the fight gets stopped on cuts etc...

Margo just was to do his tornado dance and start blasting since round 1 and he could get the W.
Actually, you're about the first and only Cotto supporter to say anything like that here. Good to have you onboard.

The others are all talking like Margarito is going to end up in a body bag. Of course I can see the reality of this challenge, and of course it would make me a true fan if he can somehow pull it off.

Like I said though, this is the worst matchup I can think of for Cotto. Mayweather and Mosley turned down Margarito, and both those guys theoritically have exceptional chins which are superior to Cotto's, greater mobility, greater handspeed, and faster feet than Cotto - and the both of them turned down 8 million dollars. Something is not right with this picture. You think Cotto will get 8 million? I smell a rat.

As far as Cotto's chin, it's fine man. Just because he gets hit from time to time doesn't mean the next guy is gonna floor him (like a lot of Cotto haters have been thinking for almost a year now). All boxers have been hit in the face (including Mayweather), it's innevitable when your opponent is throwing punches. Whether or not you can take the punches or defend is a different story and I think we're all in agreement that Cotto's defense has stepped up hard. So please, the glass chin comments just make you look like a ham & egger.

As far as Margarito, what makes people think Cotto is NOT gonna hurt him? All the Margarito fans don't even mention that Cintron was landing shots on Margarito all night. Granted Cintron had no pop behind them, but you're tellin me he's gonna sit there and take Cotto's punches??...N***a Please...

All I know is I'm gonna go to my doctor that day, get a nice anti-anxiety shot just to be able to watch this fight.
