Barrera now is old and past his best when he fought Morales. Then we can say that to Pac cuz, as one hater like to mention, he got KO by a nobody. What was your excuse as to why Pacquiao couldn't ko Marquez?
Barrera was considered to be old and past his best the first time he fought Morales. And thought to be past his beat before he fought Hamed.
Barrera was never the same after Junior Jones. He forced Barrera to be the boxer we knew later on in his career. Morales brought out the Barrera of old.
If Barrera would not have cared about his health he could have beat Pacquiao in there second fight.
Hamed would have probably hurt Pacquiao badly cause Pacquiao lunges forward. Hamed may have lost to Barrera but Barrera respect his power like no other opponet before or after Hamed.
Rocky Juarez KO's Manny Pacqiao truth.com!!!!!!
Rocky Juarez KO's Pac, in your dreams. He can't even knockdown JMM and MAB. Against MAB, i was rooting for him, but he lacks the aggresiveness to finish or dominate Marco.
His win over Hernanez was'nt impressive. Nothing against Rocky but he needs to be more aggressive. He is now 27-28 years old. If Barrios beat him, then he is just a hype up fighter.
As far as the Barrios fight, its a close fight. I see Rocky winning by UD.Last edited by loui_ludwig; 04-12-2008, 03:34 PM.Comment

yeah i'm surprised manny is on top. i don't think people are taking into consideration that it's just their career at the 122-130 featherweight divisions. they're probably trying to take into account his flyweight title or maybe the lightweight title they think manny is gonna acquire in the near future which don't count for this "featherweight" poll.I'm suprised that Manny has got by far top votes here! Its obviously based on his wins over faded legends Barrera and Morales whos true peaks were in the late 90s.
The disparity of votes for him over Marquez who he clearly had a controversial draw and a controversial win over are pretty startling. Lets not forget Marquez did a better job of Barrera than Pacquiou did last time out also.
I can only put this down to short memory, or youth! (hee hee) of some of the voters.
i can see why the disparity between manny and juan. juan's skills are up there with all 4 of them but his resume is quite lacking. if you judge just by skills or head to head i can see how you have him on top but if you judge by resume as well he doesn't measure up with the rest. comparing him to manny wins over gainer , sanchez , medina and peden are far less impressive than wins over ledwaba , larios and past prime morales and barrera. losses to norwood and john are much worse than a loss to even a faded morales imo.Comment

naseem in his prime was not a joke.
barrera might have schooled him but that's a long list of boxers that marco has schooled.
beating soto , sanchez , vazquez , mccullough , kelley , medina in a span of 3-4 years is no joke. his ONLY loss is to a HOFer Barrera.
he just had a short career.
marquez had a longer career and all of it at 126 except recently and his list of victories are not much better but a lot of people would proclaim him the best out of the TOP 4 just because of his close fights with manny.Last edited by Left Hook Tua; 04-12-2008, 04:15 PM.Comment

Hey, I'm a Pacfan and Pinoy, and I think having Pac as #1 on
the list is utter kaka. Still, a poll is a poll, and all you're really getting
are the opinions (of varying credibility) of all posters who bothered
to participate in it.

i'm filipino too and i'd have to agree with you. erik and marco's resume at 122-130 is loaded with names and this is a featherweight (122-130) poll. like i posted earlier i think people are trying to take into account his flyweight title and what they perceive as manny's chance to add to his legacy but at 135 it wouldn't add to his featherweight resume.Comment

oh, of course, its nothing to be taken seriously.
besides, when it gets down to it, this question is opinion based anyway...so theres no factual answer.
whatever tho, lets enjoy pacquiao's career. worry about how good he is compared to others later...Comment
