i think Miguel Might be feeling himself a lil bit lately. I guess he ain't quite the gnetlman everyone thinks. He might not be as classy as some portray. U replacing your uncle who has been there thru thick and thin. Wow!!!Comment

so what do you think of shane mosley when he dropped his father? how do you make the correlation between the supposed progression of your career and the moves that are involved in that and your standing as a gentleman? i'm not even going to touch the 'class' comment.

I think what Shane did is sucka move too, but he can't think for himself kinda like Cotto. I just don't htink it's classy to dump somebody who been riding with u from the beginning. Where Im from we value loyalty....I could understand idf u feel like uneed some additional help to elevate your career to the next level, but to completely dump him. Naw that ain't cool and that's weak!so what do you think of shane mosley when he dropped his father? how do you make the correlation between the supposed progression of your career and the moves that are involved in that and your standing as a gentleman? i'm not even going to touch the 'class' comment.

I think Goossen would be an excellent choice. He is great at fine tuning already established fighters and is an excellent motivator. My guess is that Cotto's next trainer will be handpicked by Bob Arum though.Comment

where you're from they value loyalty .... hahaa. i'll leave that one alone - check it bro, i know where you're coming from, but its not as it seems.I think what Shane did is sucka move too, but he can't think for himself kinda like Cotto. in this cut-throat world we live in, you've got to make some seriously bold moves ... this being one of them. some people may view them as you, but thats just because they haven't gone through anything like that themselves. in corporate american theres an addage, something to the effect of you don't make any friends on the way up.
i'll tell you that it definitely holds some water - when you try to separate yourself and do things better or more efficient then people hate on you - its the way of the world.
don't be a spectator bro - i'm sure that cotto still holds his uncle in high esteem - i'm sure he's taken care of him for the rest of his life and i'm sure that whatever comes of this, if its an amicable split - you can leave the door wide open on the future.Comment

It don't sound amicable to me Baya. in that article, it sound like Cotto being forceful and hard headed like he can't be told nothing. That's what i'm reading and I might got it wrong. I'm pretty sure within in the next few days or so it'll be more clear. i'm in corporate America too and i don't believe in that making no friends on your way to the top. Ask Spitzer, ask anybody...u don't burn bridges. Being an ******* to get to top just make your fall even more inevitable and fast. The most successful people lift as they climb and they forever loved. Loyalty need to be in everybody's value system and held in high regard. imean it's Uncle who been there since the beginning, his family who supportive not some dude who just benefited from the situation too, i'm just saying in that article he don't sound like that stand up dudewhere you're from they value loyalty .... hahaa. i'll leave that one alone - check it bro, i know where you're coming from, but its not as it seems.

spitzer's a case of abuse, i'm talking about doing a better job w/out being that ******* and trying to establish yourself as a dependable worker bee who gets first dibs on future openings and the such.
take floyd, you're a fan of his, i'm not trying to switch this up on you or anything but now i'm intrigued since you've said the word loyalty so many times. how do you support a fighter who fires and kicks out onto the street his father, who has clearly shown nothing but self-interest (good for him) yet you put cotto's situation out there like its in a class of its own?
i didn't judge mayweather when he did that, i didn't have to question his class or caliber of person because mayweather has always demonstrated that lack, but never did i thrust into question what type of guy he was.
dudes beef all the time, has nothing to do with moral standing or the like and everything to do with guys just not feeling each other anymore. you ever have a friend who you just don't click with after a while?Comment
