I agree. I think Cotto's style is great but there is room for improvement. If Mcguirt can get Cotto to use his jab more than thats a good thing. I would much rather see Birmingham as his trainer, a guy who also emphasizes jabbing and fitness two things that Cotto needs to maintain or improve on. Anyone else know of other Florida based trainers that could be possibilities? Asian you're pretty knowledgable any ideas?

i can understand where cotto is coming from, he wants to be a complete fighter, he needs to improve his skills to fight the dlh's and mayweather's so he has alot of work to do and i think with his uncle it won't happen

Corrales was much more dangerous than Vargas was at that point.

              what about roach??
I cant understand why anyone would want to train with buddy. Also cotto shouldnt even think about steward as steward only really trains straight up boxer who are tall and rangy, cotto isthe complete opposite he's short and like to throw short punches.
cotto needs someone who works well with his style of aggresive in fighting.
              ie. ronnie shields.

He is a young & improving fighter & I WANT to see him hone & develop his skills, BUT if Cotto selects McGirt (along with the curse) as his trainer & fights Floyd...you can chalk that up as a "L" for Miguel!

Don't know, but it doesn't matter.

He was never any good as a pro trainer anyway, despite historical revision about how he "willed" Moorer to the title.
