Yeahh, how many times have both of them hit the canvas, do you know?

Fans were expecting him to get blown out by Joel Julio, and get outboxed by P. Williams. Look what happened.

I know Cotto has been down at least once (against Torres) and Floyd has never had a knockdown ruled against him but technically, in the Judah fight Zab landed a punch that got Mayweather off balance and Floyds glove touched the canvas which should technically be considered a KD.

So 1 and 1 or 1 and 0 I guess depending on how you want to look at it.

I'm a little surprised that everyone's picking Judah.... Especially since he just came off losses to Mayweather and Baldomir.

The Judah win is a good win but I feel that the Quintana win is better.

If u go to post #37, u will see the youtube vid of Cotto/Torres. Cotto was pulled down by Torres, whereas Floyd touched the canvas due to a Judah punch. Looks like in both fights, the wrong calls were made.

As for the topic, I'm gonna have to say Judah even though I do think Quintana is better. You'd have to compare how their styles match up both against Cotto. Quintana got knocked out early because he is much taller than Cotto. The disadvantage here for Quintana is that it leaves his rib cage exposed and you already know that doesn't work well for you if you're gonna be fighting Cotto. Also, Cotto wasn't afraid of Quintana's power so he got to do whatever he wanted with Quintana.

As for the Judah fight, they were pretty evenly matched in the height category so when Cotto tried to hit Judah to the body, it caused his punches to land square in the balls. It's probably why it took longer to knock Judah out by not going to the body as much as his past fights. Judah is also faster than Quintana, and you know Cotto hasn't been great with avoiding fast punches.

So basically what I'm sayin' is, Quintana's height advantage was actually a disadvantage for him which made it a easier fight for Cotto.

Yeahh, I was asking that other guy because I knew he probably didn't know.

I also remember Lampley pointing out that Mayweather's been down in one of his earlier fights. Haven't seen it myself, but I heard it was a flash knockdown.

Nah. Floyd went down in one of his earlier fight by his own doing. He hurt his hand, and took a knee due to the pain.

Wow! I haven't seen that fight since it happened and I totally forgot about that! That definitely was a push down and shouldn't have been ruled a knock down. It's obvious that Cotto was hurt way more than Mayweather was but technically, Cotto should have none and Mayweather should have 1..

The Mayweather knock down is comparable to when Hopkins landed that shot on Tarver and his glove hit the canvas which was ruled a kd.
