    Kessler wasn't very good.
You mean Kessler wasn't very good on the night or he isn't good generally?

When you boil down to it, the fact of the matter is, is that Frank Warren didn't want to send his prize fighter over to the states to fight the prime fighters because he thought he would get beat!

I don't know how anyone could argue that!
No one knew Calzaghe in the US at the time, I do blame Warren for that but as far as this fight goes, it was smart financially to hold it in the UK, the fight wouldn't have sold in the US.

thats only because of lack of british press interest in all boxing events, british or not, for the best part of a decade.

boxing fans have always known who joe is.

If Joe would've have gone to the states earlier then we wouldn't even be having this conversation and people would not be questioning Joe's legacy. It's the truth, why do you think Ricky Hatton jumped off the Frank Warren ship. His not an idiot!

If he beats Hopkins and Pavlik he would finish his career off well, its a shame he never consistently fought the best fighters (although he did clean out the division) but thats not all his own fault.

I know, I said I blame Warren but we're not talking about why Calzaghe wasn't popular in the US, we're talking about why the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight never materialized a few years ago and it was because Hopkins priced himself out at the last minute.

Put BHOP back into his tomb, then talk about who's next.

Hop is too old, Pavlik is a MW and new on the scene.. There must be a legitimate live opponent out there for Calzaghe.
