It was Bernard that didn't want the fight in his prime and most likely Warren who didn't want Calzaghe in with a prime Jones.

It's baffling how Calzaghe is suddenly loved in America after this Kessler fight

They had a contract to fight, but Hopkins doubled his price at the last moment.

What is your opinion on the fact that Hops priced himself out out of a fight with Joe the day before the contract was due to be signed, only to take a fight offering less money?

It's not baffling. Joe is finally getting the respect he's earned worldwide.

I'm not too bothered about cortez getting involved, i think a lot of brits are still looking for excuses for Rickys defeat (other than the fact he cant compete at true world level).

Joe has already said he's happy with the choice, if its fine by joe its fine by me.

I think realistically after BHop he's thinking about just one more fight. Can't see him fighting more than twice thise year.

All you Americans thought Lacy was going to obliterate Calzaghe easily. Why on Earth would Hopkins have wanted to fight him? Calzaghe wasn't known in America and never attempted to be known in America (he was barely even known in Britain!)

He shouldn't be forgiven for bitching around for 10 years doing nothing!

Then Joe needed to step in and let Frank know what's what! I blame Warren for not letting the first Hopkins fight happening as well.
