I would definitely be interested in a Marquez-Casamayor fight, I just wonder how effective JMM would be at lightweight.
What next for JM Marquez?

He supposedly took Pacquiao who came into the fight a welterweight to school. He wants him real bad for a 3rd time. Why even question how effective you would be 5 lbs bigger when the guy you supposedly dominated is expected to roll right through everybody in that division??Comment

Because I'm looking beyond Manny Pacquiao in the lightweight division. There are some guys with serious power and durability in that division who could definetely hurt Marquez. I don't know if Marquez can bring power into that weightclass, and for the record, I don't think for one minute that Pacquiao will just "roll through" the lightweight division. He supposedly took Pacquiao who came into the fight a welterweight to school. I'd definitely be down for a Marquez-Casamayor fight too! If he wins, it'd make a statement to Pacquiao like ShadeyFizzle said and the third bout would be unavoidable.Because I'm looking beyond Manny Pacquiao in the lightweight division. Looking past Pacquiao though (and assuming Casamayor first), I don't know what else Marquez would do. He'd be 35-36 by then and maybe thinking about retirement...unless he beats Pacquiao and can potentially make 2-3 more money fights.Comment

I wasnt reffering that It was your opinion that he would. Im simply stating that if you were JMM and you felt that you "dominated" Pacquiao in 2 fights. You are looking for a 3rd fight with him but Pacquiao jumps ship to a higher weight class but is still a fan favorite and expert pick to win against the title holders in that division. If you were JMM and heard and read all these things about Pac would you not be looking to beat another lightweight champ asap to force Pac to give you a rematch?? And besides. JMM beating Casamayor would make alot more sense than Pac beating Casamayor. If Pac beats him..Casamayor would be old and washed up. If JMM beats casamayor then it's a legitimate victory against a great and he would once again be the gatekeeper for another lineal title for Pac.Because I'm looking beyond Manny Pacquiao in the lightweight division. I agree with the idea of JMM getting himself into a position that would force Pacquiao to fight him again but at this point I believe that the only way to do that would be to fight Casamayor. The problem I forsee is that Casamayor is looking strictly for a payday, one which I don't see Marquez giving him. Yes Marquez's stock rose after that fight but unfortunately I don't think enough to spark Casamayor's interest, though I think he's worthy of it. I think Casamayor is looking for one last big payday and then he's out, and Pacquiao's that big name. I doubt he even cares if he wins.I wasnt reffering that It was your opinion that he would. Yes...Casamayor is looking for 1 last big payday. he knows that beating Marquez is a surefire ticket to a date with Pac and his big payday which makes the fight all the more likely to happen. Otherwise beating the other grandpa who beat the other young guy who called you out but becoming undisputed lightweight champion in the process is a wayy more attractive option for PacquiaoI agree with the idea of JMM getting himself into a position that would force Pacquiao to fight him again but at this point I believe that the only way to do that would be to fight Casamayor. I suppose you're right. I guess I was looking at it from the angle of he just beat Marquez so what value could a win for Casamayor over a guy Pacquiao already beat prove? Afterall, we see situations all the time like that in boxing so the logic isn't totally nuts, but then again neither is yours. I still think Marquez-Casamayor would be a good fight and I kinda hope to see Marquez step up to lightweight and chase Pacquiao down.Yes...Casamayor is looking for 1 last big payday. he knows that beating Marquez is a surefire ticket to a date with Pac and his big payday which makes the fight all the more likely to happen. He should go with Guzman at this point. He may have a problem with Valero since I think they both have the same Japanese trainers, and Guzman is more rewarding. From there he should take out one lightweight champion to chase Manny. He has to chase Manny if he wants another huge payday because I dont think Pacquiao is going down to SFW anymore. Otherwise he could just rule 130 and until he retires.Comment

If Marquez truly believes he beat Pacquiao twice already and wants a 3rd match that badly then he has no choice. Simply racking up wins against the 3other panzies at 130 that Mayan sun thinks are monsters definitely aint gonna do Marquez any favors financially or legacywise.I suppose you're right.
