    What next for JM Marquez?

Okay, so Arum has made it clear that there won't be an immediate rematch between Pac and JMM...the earliest the two could fight again would be in the fall and most likely at 135 lbs.

Pacquiao has a date scheduled to fight David Diaz in June...so what should be next for Marquez??? It's obvious he should stay active and fight someone in the summer as well. A win against a good opponent will get him back on track and ready for Pac in the fall. Should he fight someone like Humberto Soto? Or maybe go for another title belt fighting Joan Guzman, Edwin Valero or Mzonke Fana (I think he's still the IBF champ)? Could a rematch with Barrera make sense since Barrera is supposedly coming back out of retirement? Or since Pac is moving up, should Marquez test the lightweight waters as well? Against who?

    What you guys think???

Marquez doesn't seem to want to move up to 135 unless it's for a rematch with Pacquiao, I think he's going to stay at 130. I want to see him fight Guzman.

I think he should follow Pac up just to force the rematch. Id say take on Casa or Cambell right out the gate, tough fights for sure but if he wins, then he holds the power over Manny cuz those belts are worth more than the trinket David Diaz is holding. If he loses, go back down to 130 where hed probably be favorite over anybody.

I think Sulaiman said that Marquez would be the #1 ranked fighter for the WBC belt. Does anyone know who's currently ranked #2? Who'd Marquez have to fight for the vacant belt?

Honestly I think he's going to move up to 135 and after a few fights have a third fight with Pacman. I would like to see him fight Guzman but I just don't see it happening. What he showed in the rematch with Pac should be enough to open up some options for him.

Who do you think he should test himself against at 135?

Katsidis wouldn't be a bad idea because it would be action packed and could give him good exposure, plus I think it wouldn't be too hard a fight for him as long as he can take Katsidis' punches. Casa would be another good option to try and get the ring championship but it wouldn't have the excitement. More excitement would create more of a demand for the third Pac fight.

What's next? Beating the piss out of someone else and losing on the cards. Story of his life.
