Sure they have put on a couple of good performances.

Here is Pavlik :

- A strong jab and great overall punching power.

- severely lacking in the speed department.

- He can't fight any other styles than brawl.


Taylor:

- Technique is non existent. Throws wild loopy right hands.

- Speed is good, power is decent.

- Has the tendency to get hit a lot.

Conclusion : Calzaghe, Kessler, Mundine and Bute would destroy both of these fighters. If Abraham is his biggest threat, and after watching his fight with Miranda it is evident the MW division is weak.

Its about time the US starts seeing the best fighters. Technically correct, power, speed and fantastic footwork in front of them. What your seeing now is now elite fighters, sure there putting on a war but they are decent fighters.

When Calzaghe KO's Hopkins. The demand for Kessler, Mundine and Bute to fight in the USA will be large. And about time.........

If all Pavlik can do is Brawl... then what was it he did to beat Taylor the second time... because that was anything BUT a brawl lol.

Calzaghe is not that great, Hopkins is a better fighter. In his prime he would have obviously beaten Calzaghe, and i think Hopkins tears Calzaghe apart when they fight. Hatton-Mayweather style.

And Kessler is completely unproven. The best win on his record is Mundine, and then Labrado Andrade! He is completely unproven and in his first major test, Calzaghe, he lost badly.

BUTE looks like the goods, but he hasnt fought anybody either.

And nobody from the UK has good techinique. Calzaghe is as awkward as they come, he does almost nothing correct or by the book. Thats why he wins so easily all the time.

We in the US see European fighters come over here all the time, AND THEY NEVER WIN. Calzaghe is next in line

Im Australian and Calzaghe vs Hopkins is one of the most lob sided fights i have ever seen.

Look at these departments to judge a fighter. Power, Speed, Footwork and Defence, the top 4 fighters at SMW beat Pavlik every time in these departments....

Mundine is not that good a fighter, He is very tough, and he has some good boxing ability, but he lacks so badly in every other department. Pavlik would DEFINETLY get rid of him. Kessler would have done it if he had some power.

Bute is NOT good on the inside. He is decent, but in Pavlik you are looking at one of the best in fighters in all of boxing. Thats where he wins fights. He'll be anybody on the inside from 160-168.

Pavlik also definetly has better defense then Calzaghe and Mundine, he is a very good defensive fighter when he wants to be. Look at Pavlik-Taylor 1 and 2. He got hit like what? 10-15 times flush the entire second fight?? and outside of round 2 in the first fight, he got hit flush what? 4 or 5 times?

Pavlik hits much harder then Bute and Calzaghe and Mundine, he is much more accurate. Has a stronger jab, is probably tougher, and is by far the best finisher in boxing.

WOAH! I never realized you hugged Pavlik so damn hard. Better defence than Calzaghe? Only hit flush 4 or 5 times by Taylor other than the KD round? Only hit flush 15 times the whole time the second fight? More power than Kessler? They are close fights indeed.
