That's what i'm askin for. The best fight the best and may the best man win.

Imagine Ali saying "Who's Foreman" he brings nothing to the table.
or Leonard saying " Why should I let Hearns get rich off of me"

The Greatest of all time ,the creme de la creme needs to shut it . Floyd is no where near mention in terms of greatest of all time not with the opponents he has faced, That's a fact. He's won titles in numerous divisions but so have others, his only argument is being undefetaed. A good argument but his opponents faced is not that strong where he took on the best and left no doubt.

He beat Corrales, castillo, hatton,Oscar, great wins but not indicative of all time greatest of all time.

Step up and take on the most worthy fighter in the WW division and may the best fighter WIN.

Remember when Oscar was at WW and fighting those guys like Sweet Pea, Quartey, and Trinidad. Imagine if Oscar refused to fight these guys and claimed to be the best. He would get laughed at. What if Oscar said " I won't fight Quartey because he is a nobody and brings nothing to the table" Oscar would get ripped apart. Oscar took risks at WW against guys that were on his level and took the fights, risking a defeat.

Cotto is in his prime and Floyd is in his prime , so Why is this fight not happening?
hey dont try to apply any logic or common sense to why this fight should happen. all the real boxing fans know that this fight is what the public wants to see. but all you have to know is that floyd maywather is a coward afraid to fight the best. he knows cotto is no easy fight and he wont take the risk when he could get paid alot more for a glorified sparring sessions with dlh.

            oopS.

What i was saying is that Mayweather is universally ranked #1 based on other fighters ahead of him losing, like Roy and Bernard. So in reality he is number one based on others losing rather than his victories.

oscar didn't give him the opportunity, I don't know how you could say that. mayweather was p4p #1 for a couple of years and then oscar fought him. so it could just as well be that mayweather gave him the opportunity to be a top p4p fighter again just with 1 win. yes you can say that mayweather got a big pay day, but so did oscar. neither guy would get that kind of money against any other opponent.

also mayweather was a #1 p4p guy and clearly recognized as the best boxer in the world for a couple of years. cotto hasn't come close to that yet. if cotto gets to the top 3, 4 p4p, than yes, mayweather is obligated to give him the fight. till then, the opportunity is cotto's to earn.

what did Mitchell, Judah and Baldo do to earn a shot?

they werent ranked in the top P4P...

Cotto is the best welter weight in the world and would kick Floyds ass.

Oscar can spar and make 500k buys easy. Oscar is the money man , Mayweather is not.

Oscar DID give him the opportunity. Yes they broke the ppv record together, but Oscar pulled in big numbers no matter who he fought. He did just shy of 1mil fighting Mayorga. Oscar was already making $20mil per fight prior to fighting Floyd. Prior to Oscar, Floyd biggest payday was $8mil + $1.
