      maybe 8,000 or 9,000

      Cotto-malignaggi-11,000
cotto-judah-20,000 + they had to put extra chairs.
      cotto-mosley-18,000

doesn't look good for u parody he is known by being KO by a technical boxer.

Agggh! Hatton brought 30,0000 FROM BRITAIN TO THE USA for the Mayweather fight. Cotto is a US fighter. This isn't even a debate.

what would cotto v. mayweather do?

i think (especially if the fight is held in NY) cotto would do some good numbers as well...

you have tons of cotto fans in NY and its basically cotto's hometown away from caguas P.R.

the major difference i think is there wont be tons of people coming from P.R. they like came from england for the hatton v. mayweather fight.

hatton REALLY doesnt have that many U.S. fans...majority in attendance came over from england so you can make a point to say hatton has the ability to bring more fans from england than cotto can from P.R. (there wasnt many coming from P.R. to see cotto v. mosley or cotto v. judah...majority of the cotto fans were from N.Y.

i think that would be the case if cotto fought mayweather with just a bit more coming from P.R. than in prior fights (since it would be a bigger deal than cotto v. judah).

truth is when you put the number 1 p4p fighter in the world against anyone you are expected to have a huge buzz.

        its only natural.

i cant say who is more popular overall until the night when cotto would fight mayweather and then you'd know for sure...right now its just speculation.
it's pretty obvious that hatton is a bigger draw. we don't have to wait until floyd/cotto to see how it would do to compare with floyd/hatton. I do agree with whoever that said cotto has a better chance than hatton to beat floyd.

Hatton is by far the bigger draw.

He's in fact one of the biggest draws in boxing, period.

lol dude. Cotto is a rising superstar who is known by hard core boxing fans......the Country of Puerto Rico, weekend HBO watchers and people who use their gift tickets to a boxing match in Vegas.

Ricky Hatton stopped Kostya Tszyu the ATT P4P best fighter in boxing.

Not only is he the UK's premiere boxer (lol not Calzaghe, Hatton is by far the bigger draw) he transcended the gap between England and the U.S. in his case and easily became a household fighter.

The fact he established himself before Cotto did essentially...........makes him the bigger draw. Cotto's biggest win is against Shane Mosley this came as of recent note. Before that........a shell of Zab Judah.

Tell Hatton to fight Cotto at 147. I'm pretty sure Cotto would go to the UK to fight Hatton.

Who cares who's the bigger draw...

Hatton is the draw but Cotto will beat his ass and demolished Hatton.

Ricky Hatton is one dimensional, has no business at 147 and is at this point NOT a bigger draw than Miguel Cotto.

Hatton is still a bigger draw than Cotto, but Cotto is the better fighter
