Maybe your right, but the point which Cortez deducted from Hatton, forced him to go for the KO in the later rounds, leaving him more exposed to mayweather!

Whatever referee, Mayweather wins because he's that good. Cotto is the only person who I think can challenge Mayweather, but even then he loses on points 9 times out of 10.

Hatton wasn't allowed to cheat so now he is complaining about it. When your locked up it's the refs job to break it up, its not a wrestling match. Hes got so used to being allowed tyo use his *****wet cheating holding style that as soon as he isn't allowed to do it he thinks the ref cost him the fight. It doesn't say much for your talent when you need the ref to let you cheat to be able to win.

You think charging in and holding your opponent is going for the KO?

He didn't go for **** he was holding because Mayweather was beating his ass at distance and on the inside.

Mayweather and Hatton are 2 different levels of fighters. One is an overhyped cheat and the other is a HOF'er and one of the best to ever lace up a pair of gloves.

Hatton grabbing and holding fighting style was tolerated in England but that **** don't fly on da' states and when he wan't allow to do so he didn't had a plan B
Someone else has already mentioned Hopkins and Ruiz who have spent a large portion of their respective careers in romantic embraces, but if you re-watch Hatton - Mayweather you'll see that hitting and holding does fly in the US. It just doesn't fly if it's a foreigner doing it. Mayweather spent a large section of the fight throwing a single punch and grabbing round the waist. Cortez reacted by breaking the action and warning Hatton!

Without Cortez spoiling the fight there was no knockout and Hatton gets a raw deal on the crooked judge's scorecards. I'm not saying he should win (because we don't know that for sure) but I'm saying that US judges were looking for rounds to give to "Money" Mayweather. For some reason.

The criteria for scoring fights is:

            Effective aggression
            Defence
            Ring Generalship
            Clean Effective Punching

Clean effective punching is the most important of the 4 criteria. Hatton landed 17% of his punches and most of them were either partially blocked or Floyd rolled with.

The only round that Mayweather didn't land all the clean effective punches in was round 5 when Hatton bear hugged him for the entire round, so won the round just on aggression. All 3 of the official judges gave him that round.

Mayweather clearly won rounds 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9, and dominated the 10th.

So if you want to say that Hatton was cheated go ahead explain to me how Hatton should have been given any round apart from round 5 based on the 4 criteria that the judges have to follow.

90% of his fights at the MEN arena mate, How many fights of his did Micky Vann or dave parris was the referee? Like i said what goes around comes around Hatton got away with anything he wanted to in the MEN arena and not even the most blinded Hatton would deny that, MEN was his fortress and like Paulie M says NOBODY gets a decision in there NOBODY.
