I think Vitali will win but he doesn't deserve the shot.

i don't want this fight to happen.. it would'nt be good for an already weak division.. i hope peter wins, not that i have a problem with vitali, i just don't care to see him fight anymore.. if vitali does win, then u're gonna have the klitschko brothers with titles who will never fight each other.. i hope peter wins, because i want him to fight wlad in a unification to figure out the true heavyweight champ

Why does everyone think Vitali will beat Peter? The guy has not fought in 3 years! He is lucky if he can even make it though a training camp without being hurt. One of two things will happen here:

          1) Vitali does not even make it out of camp, retires.
          2) Vitali has to quit in his corner during the fight due to injury.

In his Prime, I'd pick Vitali to win, but after a 3 year layoff, I do not see Vitali winning against a young Peter.

There should have been a statute of limitations on Vitali's emeritus status.

Very good points... I don't see Vitali getting to this fight. First off, I despise the Heavyweight division. It's a joke. Second off, he doesn't deserve this fight. Thirdly, I can't stand the Klitschko brothers, but he is absolutely screwing poor Wlad. If Vitali does get to the fight, I see him beating Peter soundly, unless he gets injured during the fight (see Vitali vs. Byrd), which is actually a great possibilty. This division is already doomed, but his return is rapidly speeding up that demise. As much as I can't stand Wlad, he is the heir apparent to the Heavyweight throne, no matter how boring and mechanical he is. If his brother comes back and wins, will there be an undisputed champ anytime soon? No, not until he gets hurt again. Unfortunately, unification is the only hope for this lackluster division, and Vitali's re-emergence will likely make that impossible for the time being.

Now the question is if people prefer Peter or Klitschko winning.

Which is better for the division?

Never mind that "holding belts hostage" by the Klitschko brothers, because they will have to fight people won't they?

I couldn't agree with you more. How about a year? I mean, what's next? Is Marciano gonna come back to life wanting an immediate title shot? WTF?
