    Scenario:

Peter Knocks out the old, ring-rusted Vitali with a rabbit punch...then several months later, Wlad unites the titles with a KO of Peter Rabbit Puncher!

Ive honestly never seen a boring Vitali Klitschko fight. Example: 34 out of his 35 wins came by KO and he has the 35th hurt and almost stopped him. BTW, the only one to go the distance w/ Vitali was Timo Hoffman who has only been stopped recently @ 33 years old by Dimitrenko after acually getting knocked down himself. So dont give me the boring crap. Wlad wins by KO more than any other heavyweight too. Including Sam Peter.

I agree with your assessment of Vitali. That's why I LIKE this fight, both for action and for meaning in the division. I think the only people who hate this fight are those who just don't like Vitali and don't think he deserves the shot.

However, Wlad doesn't go for the KO like he used to, he doesn't think attack-first anymore, that is what Steward has changed in him. His recent KOs have come against either bad or mediocre fighters (Castillo, Austin, Brock, Brewster post-retina) or a much smaller man who seemingly had a death wish (Byrd). He will be safety-first against Peter like in their first fight, and it won't be very riveting.

So, mark me down as one who would much rather see Vitali-Peter than Wlad-Peter II.

Fair arguments, but I still think that Wlad is getting way too much criticizm for letting Sultan last the distance without trying for a KO. The fact of it is, he is not making the same mistake he did against Corrie Sanders, who is also a fast handed puncher who also happens to be southpaw. I think it was a smart choice to fight the way he did, even though it wasnt super exiting. He did a beutiful job of soundly outboxing a very good challenger and pleased me in almost every way. I still dont think Peter would last 12 rounds with Wlad now. He would get caught with the straight right and go to sleep. Vitali throws everything but the kitchen sink and would surely KO Peter. But, as everyone knows: only time will tell that story.
